Bubba’s blackface cosmetic needs to be removed
And the typical BS counter argument holds ZERO weight. The problem is not Bubba wearing a black person’s skin, it’s the fact that this cosmetic is used 10x more than the Meg/Jake/Dwight ones purely for the fact that it’s black.
This is racist, because players are specifically using it above the others and targeting people playing the black characters. As well as using it as a revenge for Claudette being ‘stealthy’, even though Nea is just as good, if not better now at being immersed with cosmetics. Yet you don’t see people saying Nea is blending. It’s all racial stereotypes.

The cosmetic is used more because Claudette is by far the most used original survivor especially at low ranks where people play Bubba for bbq

The people that are targeting only black character or are otherwise racist will not be able to restrain themselves from using racist slurs in the chat and voila. Ez ban if people were using the report function.
as to why Claudette is being used the most out of the 4: it’s also the easiest/quickest to get because there are just more Claudette players also it’s the one with the most significant difference to the default face. Not everything is because of racism.
if Claudette’s face should get removed so should everyone’s else’s otherwise it could be viewed as racist to just remove Claudette’s face. Also the store cosmetics should be removed as well because they could be used by transphobic people.

I’m not going to mention anyone because of the potential harassment, but someone recently complained about it. It was posted to Reddit, and despite their name being censored, they were still harassed on twitter about it. Absolutely disgusting that people are making rules and regulations on what black people are allowed to feel uncomfortable about

I want proof that people who use the Claudette face on Bubba are doing it to be racist. I really don't care if people don't like the suggestion of the mask being removed, especially when you do it without any proof that people are being racist with it.

Oh heck. No one is been racist, I rarely see anyone using other skins as Bubba other then p3, it's wearing a face Bubba skinned, the skin colour doesn't matter it's in a horror game, not designed to be intentional at anyone. BHVR have had Bubba skinning peeps faces of all the main ones that started this game.

OR, and stay with me now, it's because everyone plays Claudette and not the others? So people have a much easier time getting Claudette's and they use it because it's a different cosmetic from the base face? Honestly, since they actually released cosmetics for Bubba, I've seen less and less survivor face masks.

Its not blackface, blackface is using make up to portray a caricature of a black person.
Just because Bubba wears Claudette's skin doesn't mean hes trying to be a caricature of her.

There's 4 extra faces and the only remotely recognisable one in game is Claudette. Removing it just because it's a black face would be more racist because it'd be treating the black character differently.

He only has a black face-Cosmetic, because one of the original Survivors is black. If Claudette would not be black, but white, he would not have a black face-Cosmetic.
For any reason WHY someone is using this cosmetic, you cannot say it. Saying that they do it because they are racist is just stupid and name-calling. I used it as well when I unlocked it, simply because it was the first Cosmetic I got for Bubba. Nowadays I use the P3, but even if I would use the black face, does not make me racist.
In general, this discussion was held multiple times on this forum and it is as childish as always. But please, at least dont call players racist just for using a cosmetic.

If members of the DBD community cannot be trusted with a character that has masks that depict POC then it should just stay as Dwight/Meg and nobody else and if people really believe it should be changed then it should be applied to both.

If this is the case, then why did you even start this thread? It seems extremely unnecessary if it's already a foregone conclusion that the cosmetic is being removed. You've started an argument for something that you are sure is going to happen in the near future, anyway.
