Trapper 'Cripple Them All' Achievement Bugged

Been playing trapper for over a month and just realized I'm not getting any credit for survivors stepping in my traps. I play on Steam and I'm stuck on 13 out of 100, even my friend isn't getting credit for his. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem? But if you could please fix this that would be great :)

It's been like that for years at this point.
If a survivor steps in your trap, you have to walk up to them and press space to pull them out of it to get a point for the achievement. No whacking them.
