The EGC (a third time).
EGC: was created to stop the game from being held hostage. (It does this so let's expand on it)
Rework: To put more pressure into the game and into completing your final objective (killing or escaping) without adding an advantage to either side and to end the game quicker.
Doors
- 99ing is no longer possible
The door will show a highlighted area on the progression bar. Upon reaching this the egc will start and the killer will be notified which door it is. (beta build).
The door will also regress a small amount to prevent 99ing the door to stop survs from tapping it once and escaping. But if the killer is not as close then it will not stop them from opening the door and escaping. (Kinda like key).
This change would not effect most games, but would force survivors to open the doors just slightly sooner than they may want to.
Timer
- Currently the timer is 2 minutes but can extend up to 4 minutes if a surv a dying or hooked. (I believe this is it).
I think since 99ing is possible they would not need that extra 2 minutes. So as of now I think it's fair to let it be only 2 minutes and to rebalance perks as needed. (This would be a difficult change to re change timers like blood warden)
Another thing is in many games survs do not go for the save because they do not want to be hit or are hesitant too. So that's a lot of time wasted they didn't need. So with no extended timer they would be forced to either escape or go for the save without extra time.
- The timer change would not give any extra time to the killer. It would simply either get them the kill faster or get them a trade faster. (If killer were to open the door I think it's be fair for it be extended just a little bit so account for the premature open).
- You could also use the extended timer to possibly get more than 1 survivor, but in most situations I'd think this wouldn't be the case.
Overall the timer change would end the game faster and stop having so much wasted time for either side.
This is pretty much it...small changes to the doors and timer. That makes the end game faster...that's all

I can't say I agreee with everything, but I do agree it's pretty ######### that the entire mechanic was developed to add a sense of urgency to leaving, and it's just widely accepted that survivors completely subvert and undermine it by leaving gates at 99 to leave when they're good and ready and absolutely everyone is safe.
