-After hooking someone in the basement you have Undetectable while greater than 32m away until that person is unhooked.
Now it rewards basement hooks but doesn't reward camping.

Nah I got a better one.
It activates instantly the moment you stop moving and you retain the effect for 2 seconds, then it goes on a 10s cooldown.

Insidious is a message more than an actually useful perk. Nerfing it wont change a Bubbas MO lol.
People who play Bubba want to power trip you, and they'll do it with or without this crappy perk.

The fact that the words 'Insidious' and 'Nerf' appear together makes me a sad killer.
As it stands, this perk has zero value outside of a specific gimmick playstyle that heavily penalizes you and falls apart the second savvy survivors realize what's going on.
If it's a problem, I'd much rather have the perk reworked to something much better.

I am fine with a total rework as well.
The question is if these weird camping insidious play styles should be in the game. It can be fun for the killer player, but definitely not fun for the survivors. It should be fun for both sides.

Eh, I dont think TR is a huge factor concerning altruism against Bubba; his playstyle is boring that squads would rather encourage these lazy killers by getting 4kd than just pump gens and let their friends die
People get so bored they just want to die. That needs addressing more imo.

There are styles that are unfun for survivors.
There are styles that are unfun for killers (abusing Haddonfield, Badham, RPD or Pantry infinites, hide and seek genrushers etc.)
BHVR can't just keep nerfing every killer build/tactic that is somewhat effective. What needs to be asked is - why are killers resorting to these tactics?
Camping Bubba is mostly a thing because he has bugs and can be looped forever.

Those other unfun things you mentioned should be fixed as well. Your justification of having an unfun thing because there is this other unfun thing for the other side is not valid IMO. Why can't we focus on making all elements of the game fun for both sides?

Unsuspecting soloq survivors will not attempt the save if they know that a bubba is waiting for them in the basement.

I don't, because I am not that good survivor and don't even know which are those broken loops. But I am fine with removing these broken loops.
And before you start to think that I am some killer hater survivor main... I play both, around 70% killer, 30% survivor.

Because, unfortunately, that's where we are now.
If BHVR wanted to, they could easily add a gap in the walls of certain houses in Haddonfield and Badham to break the infinite. They haven't and it's been literal years of it being pointed out.
If BHVR wanted to, they could prevent groups of survivors from stalling the game out for hours by playing hide and seek on 1 gen remaining. They haven't.
There are lots of easy fixes to tons of pretty legitimate complaints from killers that have never been implemented.
As that's the case, then what's good for the goose has to be good for the gander. And killers are getting the greasy end of the stick basically every patch.
We fight to preserve whatever advantages we can because it feels like we have to.

Yeah... Both sides are fighting for their unfair advantage... And then the result is that the game is full of unfair unfun stuff. Instead of everyone focusing on making the game fun.
Maybe we should not be so selfish and let these changes happen, even if it would temporarily leave the other side with more unfair advantage.

I'm sorry if this sounds callous, but no.
This always results in the game being borderline unplayable for killers for weeks or even months. People still remember the period of instant flashlight stuns, pallet vacuum exploits, sabo-ing the map dry of hooks or years of SWFs having maphacks thanks to OoO.
I'd accept some changes if they were even handed, but the developers have turned this into an 'us vs them' scenario, and so be it.

Better to make the hook mechanic so that any assassin cannot use abilities near hooks within 24 meters

I want to have fun matches. It is not fun if you get an insidious camping bubba in soloq. If you just suicide on hook you screw your teammates and positive feedback the bubba. If you just hang there it is boring and risk that an unaware Claudette will fall into the trap.

The perk should grant the undetectable status effect for a fair amount of time after hooking someone. Perhaps even protecting them from the effects of Spine Chill/premonition while it's active.
So the killer can traverse the map and use the perk without a gimmick effect.

insidious doesnt need a nerf. ive been playing for a year and ive encountered two people whove used it, a basement chest guarding bubba and a basement chest guarding slinger. neither got a kill

What about a NON-insidious camping bubba? Can't do anything as well right?
Problem here is not the perk. It's the toxic behavior but that part is really hard to fix.

It means that you need to make it so that you cannot use the ability after exiting stealth for 2 seconds
