NEW KILLER PERK IDEA

If they made a new killer perk every 30 seconds it shows the auras of all survivors for 3 seconds that would be awesome. It would make the game more interactive as the killer instead of a boring match trying to look for survivors. survivors can counter this perk with distortion or hiding in lockers. I think it would make the game very interesting.

    Too strong of a perk that requires nothing from the killer to use it, and almost no way for the survivors to know the killer has it unless they specifically have object of obsession or distortion

    What if it was something like this instead

    Every time you hook a survivor for the first time, or a generator is complete gain a token, you can press the active ability button to consume a token and see all survivors auras for 4 seconds, this effect has a map wide terror radius while you are using it this effect has a cooldown of 40/35/30 seconds


    Limited uses that are survivor and killer dependent, a cooldown to prevent using it back to back, its a strong effect so survivors know when you are using it

    yeah also a good idea. I want something for the killer that makes the game more interactive because from my experience as the killer I mostly have 90% survivors just hide and do gens and never want to interact with me. This is especially true when im playing leatherface or nurse or even deathslinger. A lot of the times they will hide from me scared so I end up find 1 guy chasing him catching him then camp because I have no choice when gens are flying and I have only 1 or 2 hooks. I think it will make the gameplay more interesting. Sometimes I would find aggressive teams that all want to loop me and be aggressive but mostly it's survivors that hide a lot which is pretty annoying experience

    no the developers can buff distortion and maybe make it better than what it is at currently. but not too strong because survivors already have a lot of great perks compared to killer. Killer suffers a lot from hiding survivors. it really wastes a lot of time for them and this game the killer has so much to do and so little time to do it so that's why i'm saying that a perk to see survivors aura would help and make the game more interesting

    Or just make it work like object, everytime you look at a survivors aura, they see yours.

    also if u play leatherface or nurse you'll notice how survivors LOVE to hide way more than the usual basic killer.if u play pig sometimes survivors love getting aggresive but when its a powerful killer they always love hiding. I don't get their mentality. They get extremely scared of these 2 killers for some reason

    But then survivors would be forced to run Distortion to avoid something that was never there before. That is, imo, never a good thing.

    why not? It's good to change their meta a bit. change is mostly a good thing you know? You learn something new and challenging if they keep running the same thing over and over that just gets boring. it becomes easy as saying ABC. Let them be pressured more. Survivors are 4 man. Killer is only played by 1 player and he has a lot to deal with. this perk would make the game more healthy for both killer and survivor. Besides survivors will have fun being chased and looped. Hiding and camping is so boring. Survivors don't like campers and killers dont like when they hide. So this perk would fix a lot of issues the game currently has.

    Yes but you do realise that you'll never see anything other than Distortion. You want variety, not to force one particular perk.

    you should try then reaching red ranks or gold ranks as killer and using leatherface or nurse. see how most of your matches are going to be played. My matches always have survivors hiding and doing gens while I try to find them wasting 2 or 3 minutes then chasing. then catching them then after that I camp them because already by the time I get them hooked 2 gens get completed. then someone comes for the save gets it the guy that got saved has BT so he body blocks the hook saver and u hit him he gets a free sprint burst and the other guy that u want to catch gets away for free... that's fun to you? that's OP and boring to play against. if my idea made it to this game you'd always see killers chasing for variety not always tunnelling the same guy. only if the player was toxic he would do it but most players would play it fair.

    this isn't a single player horror game. It's an online interaction between players. that has horror in it. If players want to always be scared and hide from the killer the majority of the match they should not be playing an online horror game. They should just play Resident evl or any other horror franchise solo alone. If they like this playstyle in DBD let them face BOT killers because it's "fun" for them to just hide away

    whispers I agree with you is good and bbq is also good but add ons not all killers have access to them. pig has a great add on for aura reading and michael myers does but what if I wanted to play ghost face? he don't have any add ons like that and also there are perks like lethal pursuer but it's only 9 seconds at tier 3 and that's it it's gone throughout the enitre match. so u end up playing with 3 perks instead of 4

    Nurse ignores like half of the things the game throws at other killers

    Pallets=blink past it

    Loops=blink around it

    Survivors tbag at exit gate=blink up to them and smack them

    2 floor maps= do I really have to say it

    And buba is just a buba and if you get caught you will be face camped to death

    Interesting idea which gives me another idea

    Back and forth (just the name I came up with)

    Every 60 seconds (starts on cooldown at the start of the match as to not tread on lethal pursuers territory) you see the aura of all survivors for 4/4/5 seconds, 30 seconds this perks main effect activates, all survivors see your aura for 4/3/3 seconds (goes through undetectable)


    So rather than both seeing each other at the same time its split between the sides, every 30 seconds the killer sees the survivors or the survivors see the killer, and the tiers of the perk start at (balanced between both sides evenly/favors survivors less/favors killers more) but to also keep in balance of the perk the killer isn't allowed to skirt its effects with undetectable to keep it from not having downsides on certain killers and their perks / addons


    But the other idea would be (based on your one more directly)

    Back and forth

    While a survivor sees your aura you also see their aura, their aura lingers for 3/4/5 seconds after they stop seeing your aura (this perk lights up while active)

    If survivors have no killer aura reading perks or items your aura is revealed to all survivors for 3 seconds every 60 seconds

    (just to prevent it being useless but the likelihood of this effect is minimal since perks like object, alert, kindred, dark sense, babysitter, breakdown, buckle up (this one is just honorary on this list no one actually uses it) guardian, and mettle of man, are usually minimally at least 1 of any of them in any given lobby (usually kindred). But in that single edge case of none of these perks (or a key) the killer doesn't have a useless perk.
