Lazy but BIG change to earn more bloodpoints

Ok so clearly we all want to get more bloodpoints but it has become aparent that it won't happen soon, like doubling the bp earnings or removing perk tiers. So, here's a small change that would totally be helpful, change the way people play, and it will feel invisible in a few days... It is lazy and could be done in a few hours, but I think it's a great idea... Are you ready to hear this??

Remove the cap to BP earned in a match. (OR at least make it 14k per category)

First, a little explanation. We already know there's 4 categories in the match, both for killers and survivors. All of them cap at 8K bloodpoints, to a total of 32K, only AND ONLY IF YOU PLAYED PERFECT. If not, you'll probably end with a 24k on average. 32K BP is barely half a bloodweb level.

The problem with this: there's some categories that get filled faster than others, like: survivors that focus on gens will get their Objectives category capped very fast, but they will probably end with 2K for Alturism. Even worse, perks like Prove thyself increase by 100% your earnings during the match, but it still gets capped to 8K. This way doing literally ONE generator with another survivor will cap your bloodpoints and you will not earn any more bp for doing gens, cleansing or opening doors.

Killers have the same problem, Hunter is the main category that will get filled faster, chasing a few minutes will cap it and, again, you won't earn more bp for doing so. Distressing is a perk that also doubles your bp in the Deviousness category, but again, it just makes it fill faster, you hit the 8K cap and that's it.


Why uncapping the BP per match? This change will make the game a bit less grindy, since having a perfect game will totally give you a bit more than 32K, it will also make the BP offerings way more apealing (Come on, the brown offerings are lame, even the green ones will luckly give you only 8K extra IF you played that category very good. It is ridiculous.) And ALSO these mentioned perks will be a million times better for farming. You can keep the emblems and ranks tho, reaching 8K will give you iridiscent and nothing else.

AND WE'RE NOT OVER because this change will also encourage both killers and survivors to do more stuff in a match. So, in a way, it will slightly decrease genrushing and camping. Even after filling your categories and getting iridiscent rank you can still earn BP. Isn't that the point, after all? To encourage the player to not just kill or survive? To make them feel like their actions are doing something? I mean, if you already got the full 32K bp in a match, nothing you do will help you, you can stand still until the endgame collapse ends and doesn't matter. I want to feel like my 5 gens done and 5 totems cleansed are more rewarding than 8K BP for my Objectives category.

I don't think this change will have any disadvantages, I can only think of groups of survivors playing in SWF only to farm. Which is kinda understandable but at the end of the day, the killer will decide their fate. And also, it's not like that doesn't happen already everyday...


SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. A full essay of why you should remove the categories BP cap. I think it's a positive change, you don't have to do a full week of coding for this, it would make the playerbase very happy and you keep the game working as intended without changing everything.
