Cancel the trial if more than one disconnects
Honestly, the trial should just be cancelled if two survivors dc in the first 15 seconds. There is absolutely no way two survivors can do 5 gens between them while also avoiding the killer. At that point, the killer's already won.

Trials with dc should not change mmr for all participants

You aren't supposed to win every trial. If game is busted from the start - play smart. And if you see that you can't escape after too many teammates disconnect, just walk to the killer, drop your item and wait.1-2 DC isn't fun for killer too. He can just let last survivor to escape.

I never said anything about wanting to win every trial. If there are two disconnects in the first 15 seconds, the trial should just cancel otherwise it's a waste of everyone's time.

i agree.

And what about items, offerings, add-ons? Trial canceled, they are refunded?
Let's see. Example. I'm a survivor, part of 3 player SWF group. I use R.P.D. offering. Trial started, map is not R.P.D. so two my friends disconnect before 15 sec is up. I get offering refund, next game I use it, it's R.P.D. and now we can abuse the killer!

''You aren't supposed to win every trial''
You are supposed to have a fair chance of winning and having 2 survivors Dc with 5 gens left is not fair at all and near impossible to do.

"You are supposed to have a fair chance of winning".
SWF, cheaters, DDoS kids, maps rigged against the killer, meta-shmeta perks, CoH... there is nothing fair.
Then try to reason with killer. Hope they aren't toxic SWF member taking a break while their friends still not online.

Nobody said those are okay either.
One thing at a time.

Personally I feel bad, when survivors have their friends disconnect early. I even try to give them mercy. But I won't wait until they finish the gens and open the gate. Only last can have chance for escape.
Really, it's not killer's fault, that survivors DC, maybe he brought Iridescent add-ons this trial. Their value is lost. And killer can't find any add-ons during the trial.
Survivors that DC are impact on the killer's economy.
Also there's a far less amount of stressful situations for survivors

In that particular scenario, the two who dced still suffer the disconnect penalty.
Yes, everything brought to the trial would be refunded in the same way that it is when there's a dc during the loading screen. What I'm suggesting is a mutually beneficial solution to a problem so as to avoid wasting the time of both parties.
1 -
Yes, you aren't supposed to win every trial, but you also shouldn't have to deal with a 3v1/2v1 or even a 1v1 because the others dced.
It is literally a lost game unless the killer lets you farm or is afk.

Sounds like a neat way to screw over someone trying to get a Challenge or Daily Ritual done.

As if two survivors disconnecting in the first 15 seconds doesn't already do that.
3 -
That's actually not a bad idea and believe me I'm trying my best to find a way to exploit this like I always do with this ideas and apart from what roaderfrost said I can't find anything and even that is easy to cancel if you say it don't work if the majority of the survs are swf or it only works every other game so you can't rinse and repeat till you got what you want

I wish they’d implement the bot system from mobile. That way if someone disconnects a bot takes their place. Bots aren’t as good as humans but at least they try and do gens and open the exits, etc, so it can maybe give the remaining human players a better shot.
1 -
You'd be hard-pressed to exploit it seeing as it wouldn't remove the dc penalty. Those who dced would still be punished accordingly. It's only beneficial to the remaining three players.
1 -
Yeah that's true it's just a good idea overall
1 -
Why multiple? Cancel it if a single person DCs, or allow every other survivor to DC at their leisure. Only the first person who DCs in a match should ever get a penalty. It's obnoxious to have to rely on the killer not being a total ******* if you just want to move on to an actual match after DCs have already decided the outcome.
0 -
It doesn't.
Find a glyph? Sure.
Fall from a great height? Still doable.
Escape the trial while using a specific perk? Hatch, here I come!
0 -
It does, depending on the daily/tome challenge. Regardless, I'm relatively unconcerned with that since this is a solution to avoid wasting the time of the killer, and the remaining two survivors.
All three players would rather move onto the next trial than play hide and seek for however long it takes the killer to find the survivors.

if the game has to be like that why not directly cancel it?
1 -
There needs to be a better DC penalty. If they add bots, people will think it's okay to DC. In another game the penalty is 1hr not 5 mins.
I only played one game today and I got I get three ragequit DC. I only got to hook one of them. I let the last guy go because they didn't even get any gens done.
0 -
Yeah, no. Not good enough to force end a game on me I don't want over yet.
If two people DC and you want out so bad, you can go right ahead and DC right after them if you feel that passionately about quitting. I want my bloodpoints and challenges done.

On the other hand at least this way if someone is determined to just leave, and they dc, the survivors still have four players. I’m not saying it’s ok to dc either way, but at least this way the people who didn’t DC can still play a somewhat ok game hopefully.

That's nice and all, but that's just adding another problem to the already existing problem.
Your only gripe with it is that you just want to do a tome challenge/daily because it absolutely cannot wait until the next trial, and you are seriously suggesting that the survivor who doesn't want to stay should just cop the dc penalty.

But its fine to play 4-5 bps/event cakes and have early dcs screw em?
Keeping some map offerings aint nothing. ^this is the bigger, more painful issue.
1 -
CORRECT.
If you want out, DC. Or suicide on hook. Do not make YOUR impatience MY problem.
