The Artist: What determines whether her M2 power gives survivors swarm, killer instinct, or both??
So I don't have the killer yet, but I have seen a lot of her gameplay through streams. I already understand how she is able to injure/down a survivor when they don't have any crows on them.
What I don't understand is that when the Artist launches her crows hitting a survivor while going through an obstacle, 1 of 3 things will occur:
1) the survivor only gets a swarm on him.
2) the survivor only gets killer instinct on him.
3) the survivor gets both a swarm and killer instinct (usually doesn't happen as often)
So what determine when a survivor gets a swarm, or killer instinct, or both??

Damage: if the survivor is in the purple area that's created, or if they're already swarmed, they take damage.
Swarmed: if they get hit from outside of the purple area, they get swarmed. alternatively, if the projectile goes through a wall, they get swarmed at any range.
killer instinct highlights nearby survivors that didn't get hit.
if survivors group up, sometimes you'll hit one, and others nearby will get highlighted.

killer instict only happens on a near-miss. If it doesn't hit but came close, it will cause killer instinct. The crows didn't hit that guy, but came close to him.

Both never happen. what you see is two survivors together. 1 gets swarmed 2nd gets killers instinct

Can you explain this twitch clip?
That survivor moved a bit to the left to avoid the crows so he didn't get downed, but he was still close enough for killer instinct to trigger? If the crows hits, it hits and but killer instinct triggers when its a near miss?
