That wouldn't buff the perk neither a bit, reducing the footsteps sounds is not an OP thing. It doesnt need to compensate. The perk needs an increase in the reduction of scratchmarks duration, with only that is enough.

I just feel like it should be reworked into Fixated Self-Aware.

So I'd just remove lightweight and make it so Self-Aware in addition to its current effects makes your scratch marks disappear 2/3/4 seconds faster while injured.

This would keep the light weight effect without effective Self-Aware's learning components(Such as how long your scratch marks last for).

    No.

You may not use footsteps for tracking, but I can tell you with confidence that anybody who plays Spirit is 100% using footsteps for tracking.

In what universe is a perk hard countering an entire killer a good design? To be honest, the interaction of Doc and Calm Spirit needs to be changed. Don't know how, but it does.

I like it. The 3 seconds doesn’t need to be reduced though.

Yeah spirit is just 1 killer yet IW can completely destroy her.

Reducing footstep sounds by 50% is a helpful effect that doesn’t make them impossible to track.

As much as I agree... Calm Spirit is such a niche perk that I dont really care...

At the same time, Doc's power still works, you just don't hear it. Your shock is probably only used on people you already found, and Static Blast still gives you your points, I believe, even if you don't hear it...

I would call Iron Will a hardcounter for Spirit in certain situations, especially since Stridor doesn't work anymore against Iron Will...

Dead Hard is pretty much a hard counter for Trapper. And Dead Hard is one of the most used perks in the game...

I would give priority to Iron Will and Dead Hard in regards to what they counter...

Footsteps aren't that loud already, but for killers with good headsets and good ears they can be quite the useful tracking tool. At the very least to know that someone is still close by or passing by. TBH a 50% sound reduction may be too strong, maybe a 25% noise reduction in your running/walking sound (includes the heavy breathing you make after running) and now we can keep the same 3 sec scratch mark reduction.

I can't pretend to know what goes into game balancing but small tweaks can sometimes have a huge impact in gameplay. My idea isn't to make the perk the new meta but add on to its general idea.

Perks like shadow step, lucky break and iron will already push the game towards an untrackable survivors scenario, which is really bad considering how time is essential for killer to start chases, specially how fast gens get done nowadays.
