Thrilling Tremors removing gens blocked by Grim Embrace

I asked a friend to test a full gen blocking build using Corrupt intervention, Grim Embrace, Dead Lock, and Thrilling Tremors.
After hooking the 4th survivor, thrilling tremors removed the blocked effect from the grim embrace before the time expired, not sure if that happened with deadlock, but is that a bug or supposed to happen?
