..have two buttons one for "Well played" and one for "GG" and that is all you can say, since that seems to be so important to hear after a game for some people.

Either people play toxic to get reactions in chat or they have to be toxic in chat to make up for losing a game. Why give these people such platform?

And before you say ignore the chat I play on Xbox having messages not allowed so no problem for me. But I see how this upsets so many getting threats and such and I can't understand the point of a chat for a game like this. There will always be a lot of minors playing this game and at least they need to be protected.

I'm far more likely to play a multiplayer game with a global chat feature than I am to play one without.

I don't know the psychology behind it, but I've abandoned games that were relatively fun on the basis that I couldn't communicate with the other players.

Whether it is a wholesome "GG," and inquisitive "why did you do that?", a snarky "get good," or a less favorable insult, being able to express my thoughts and hear others' scratches a certain part of my brain that keeps me coming back.

I understand the desire to remove a means in which people can try to cyberbully others, but those who really want to hurt others will always find a way. I recommend closing the chat bar, because I think I'd abandon this game without the ability to talk after a match.

I know on consoles like Xbox people just message each other salty messages because there is no chat. I would rather be able to talk about the game with everybody in an end-game chat than have to individually message people.

Just close your own chat. Stop trying to close other peoples.

You know people will read what others say no matter what, you see it here time and time again. This person said this, that person said that. I think it's more important to close this platform for toxic/evil people and protect minors than having you or others talking about how fun or not fun the game you just played was. Just press a GG button and go to the next game you will get more bloodpoints playing than talking.

As politely as possible, I am fervently against this point of view. Close your own chat if afraid of the possibility of mean people.

I like talking to people about the game just played. Even the banter. When I do not want to talk to other people I do not engage.

This is the system on dbd mobile, there are buttons for gg, ggwp, well played, thanks and stickers of the dbd killers. It works pretty well.

I did not no that but that is good news. Might get them to change their mind about the "real" DBD.

As I said I have messages turned off since I don't care what people want to say after a game, GG or salt. I'm thinking of others mostly young ones and protecting people from bullies and such. I was beaten up a few times myself as a child by older bullies, might be why I feel strong about this idk.

I understand your point also. Wanting to talk and having that freedom to do so no problem.

This is talking about young ones on a game rated Mature (17+). There shouldn’t be young ones per the ESRB Rating. This will go into a conversation too complex for me to continue discussing on a gaming forum.

I empathize with your personal experience. One of my favorite quotes is, paraphrasing: You do not help someone by making the world, with all its horrors, smaller. You help them by making the individual bigger.
