30 Losses on Nurse

I'll have to try that.

Bruh the people blaming MMR in this thread when TC himself admitted that he's an inexperienced Nurse learning this new Character. Of course the problem is MMR xD. Same energy as the Flashlight rant made on reddit.

You're a console player, right? I can imagine how painful is to play Nurse on console, for God! I've seen some streamers playing killer on console and I was shocking to see how they were struggling really hard to even control M1 killers. Devs should at least enable mouse/keyboard support.
Nurse is the most difficult indeed, even on PC she's the hardest. You need to have stable FPS, higher is better, and low input lag, it changes drastically her gameplay.

thats not far off how it was when i learned nurse almost a year ago or so because id already been solid at rank 1 but realistically the only way to learn nurse if your already sitting at a "higher" level is to hard commit to chases with people that are destroying you and just simply practice over and over bring plaid flannel also its a good learning tool and maybe watch oh tofus nurse guide aswell

You have my sympathies. Learning Nurse is definitely not easy at the best of times, and your MMR might be way higher than it should be on her. The issue with Nurse is that most of it is muscle memory. So there's not a whole lot of recommendations I or anyone else who has learned Nurse can give.
Best I can do is recommend you use the Flannel Add On that shows you where your blink is going and Nurse's Calling and focus on landing good blinks instead of kills because you won't be getting many kills. Nurse's Calling is very much a god send on indoor maps and when I was learning Nurse.

Yes, I do play on Console. It can be rough with a lot of the higher-skillcap Killers.
2 -
Don't those add-ons screw with your muscle memory though?
1 -
Screw blinking! Throw on her red add-on that removes one blink, so you can move at 4.2m, throw on play with your food, play m1 nurse while using her 1 blink to blink through pallets when they throw them down or when they vault windows or pallets. It's a lot of fun cause they never expect you to be faster than them.
2 -
Its always like this.
Even if you are rank 1 with first match on some killer, you will get BMed and saltiness.
Ignore survivors and game itself. Rather think how many chases or blinks you have been successful.
Its also suffer once you start with blight. but…it is most satisfying once ur comfortable

You forgot that Killer specific MMR doesn't exist
1 -
So youre a bad Nurse. Dont see anything noteworthy here.
1 -
Well when you play a new killer for the first time I think their MMR starts out at your highest killer rating among your other killers. So if he was really good with someone else and never played Nurse (the hardest killer to learn) then I could easily see him getting decimated for a while.

It seems like you have run into issue after issue my friend.... Sorry
I also play on Console (Xbox to be specific) and can feel for the Nurse gameplay that you must experience
I too have been playing Killers that I normally don't... Hillbilly, Nurse, Oni, Blight... even Bubba (but I don't camp)
I had success playing nurse... With no Addons (try that)
As for perks.... Well it isn't all that special
STBFL, Sloppy (might change that to Discordance), Corrupt, Whispers
Also try to pin down what areas of the map that you are having trouble with (then ask others to hop into a KYF to practice... if it's possible)
I also played Nurse before so I did have some experience with her
I wish you luck.... at getting better 😁

Use the Plaid Flannel common add-on starting out, that’ll show you where you’re blinking until you get a better feel for the range.
But yeah, Nurse is the only killer I actively dislike playing, I hate wheezing and puking on my feet half the match. I’d play her if she at least kept her head up.

Life's too short, play a killer you enjoy.
0 -
Tried that, got unfun after 3 years.
2 -
Thanks buddy.
1 -
My condolences
Nurse is already tricky and iirc you play on console that makes it even harder.
I can't imagine playing nurse with a controller. I would break one every 5 games

I got that 2K and the next match had two crossplay gamers and two Xbox players.
The two Xbox profiles looked like this:
I am not that good.
1 -
There’s a reason I’ve only touched Nurse once

It was mentioned briefly but OhTofu has a great Nurse guide that I know helped me when I practiced with her.
also the current PTB has some fixes for her that may help, too.
1 -
Come on. Nurse is hard is heck. Even brand new players are going to beat a Nurse that hasn't learned how to blink. You probably are facing new players.
Nurse is that hard. I've tried to play her too with 5 blinks and new players can run circles around me. That's nothing to do with MMR and everything to do with how hard she is to learn.
2 -
I started watching the Alf guide, but I'll check this one out too

If you're losing 30 games in a row logically the MMR formula would suggest as you have already said 'I don't play nurse' or 'I'm new to nurse'. As such I would expect your MMR to drop to a level of that of a beginner (why it was so high on a killer you've never played is another question). This shows how busted this mechanism is. It also goes directly against what the devs say; their biggest selling point (not that we had a choice or a say in the matter however) was that it would allow players the chance to play new/unfamiliar killers at an easier level and improve. This completely dismantles that ideology.
Take a break before you burn out (I took an 8 month break from burnout).
Further evidence how MMR doesn't work properly

He's played 30 games in a row...he's trying to learn. He's complaining about the level he's playing against. Yes you improve against better players but you still need to familiarise yourself with the killer.
Nurse is different- as OP mentioned she's unique. Want to learn Wraith? If you know the M1 basics then you'll at least be adequate. Nurse? Different story.
Only advantage OP would have as an experienced player is map knowledge and if the nurse has good perks. That's it.
The real point is MMR doesn't work. Devs take a bow

Play at a later time. Trust me.....
1 -
Lets buff the Nurse!

This wouldn't matter at all, its been confirmed that your highest rated killer would bring your killer MMR back up. So he would have to tank the MMR of all of his killers just to practice Nurse. Devs straight up lied to our faces about individual MMR on all fronts.
As far as practicing nurse, I would recommend doing something like I did when I first started learning huntress. I wouldn't even kill survivors, I would just go around practicing shots. First just standing still, then with increasing amounts of motion to build consistency. You could equip the plaid flannel and use it in a similar way to build muscle memory.

If you are new to the nurse you definitely must use both cooldown addons. Nurse has much less room for mistakes and if you can't handle her, the tripple cooldown will destroy you.
1 -
do you use console or pc?
0 -
Unfortunately the only thing you can really take solace in as nurse is that if you practice enough eventually you will win nearly every game. It's a long and rough road to that point though.

"Killer" is the survivor's entertainment. You did well in that perspective !

Welcome to Nurse. Consider it a rite of passage.

in the words of solarus, git gud sunbro.

Console.

i took a nap because I got too frustrated after the last match with 4500 hour and 5000 hour players.
1 -
Yup.
I totally feel you.
I generally don't mind losing all that much.
What I mind is the sheer nastiness of survivors when they win, despite you going easy on them, them having a hacker, them having a crazy map etc. I recently watched a big name streamer do a series of videos where he ran every killer with no perks, and gave the other side a huge head start.
The sheer amount of BM and gloating he received in postgame was astonishing, and that's with him being incredibly well known.
Nurse is a tough killer to learn. Turn off postgame and just grind it out.
I always turn off postgame these days and only turn it on when I want to say something. It's done wonders for my enjoyment.

I'm on Console and my messages from anyone except friends is set to off.
Someone went out of their way to find my Twitch and Whisper me.

I do feel like MMR should pay attention to streaks, either winning streaks or losing streaks and adjust accordingly. It should also be easy enough to ignore matches where the killer is just afk and then just ignore those altogether.
0 -
Sadly we have to forget about nurse pre-nerf. The devs will never make her less frustrating to play, she is now a slowpoke and very addon dependant. Killers are not allowed to have fun, and thats the hidden motto from Behaviour.
1 -
The recharge animation would probably leave me dizzy
0 -
please stop losing, otherwise you might let the devs buff this ridiculous killer even more
0 -
now i am going to do it out of spite :]
3 -
Practice mode. Yet another thing that should have been implemented in the game years ago already but still isn't for God knows what reason.
2 -
well she is easier on pc.
0 -
I am acutely aware.

If you played on PlayStation, I would help out with a solo custom game and just derp around as a survivor for like an hour here and there, so you could get the timing down.
I never really got into the game as much as I would've liked because it just stressed me out, and I was always too hard on myself when I would screw up in a public game. None of my friends ever really wanted to play custom games to learn because they didn't get blood points from them so I just kinda stopped.
I REALLY wish they would add every killer to the tutorial, so that we could learn at our own pace at any hour of the day. It just seems counterproductive to not offer that. Hopefully games will get better for you soon.

I am a fellow console player and feel your pain. I feel like most killers that are not M1 are very difficult to control. Because of this I typically stick to them. I understand you have gotten bored and I applaud your efforts to pick her up. I'm not willing to spend the time on her but good for you to put in the time. If you have played the game this long you know a lot of survivors BM and that does make things frustrating. I feel like a lot of people have given good advice about just learning the muscle memory with blinks and not worrying about the survivors. I wish you the best of luck.

A couple of days ago I asked a friend of mine who plays on Xbox to stream some nurse gameplay (he never plays nurse too)
It was quite hilarious, but I can see the frustration of playing her on console

Another console player here. I also suck with killers like nurse and blight. I just find them too clunky. With Nurse I would always get maps I hate like rottem fields where I'd become disoriented by the contast head shaking.
I used doctor to level her up to level 40 and left her to collect dust.
