Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Pinhead Teleport Bug

I play on PC

i was playing a game on groaning storehouse and happened to be playing a game against pinhead (real fun kliler btw if you couldn't detect the sarcasm). Somewhere towards the middle of the match, or whatever you would call 4 gens left and a survivor that killed themselves on hook, I was solving the box as he had just activated a chain hunt by finding it prior. As I started solving it, I had an issue where I not only continued to have chains spawn while trying to solve the box (which prevented me from solving the box. Passive chains, real cool idea), but pinhead also simultaneously teleported to me as I was being chained so I was put into a psuedo animation where my survivor took the animation as though she had just been teleported to without any of the chains spawning or dropping the box. After this second bug appeared, I further was bugged in the sense that I was incapable of moving at all until I was hit by pinhead. Yes. I was 100% incapable of moving when this occurred and was only able to move again when the killer finally hit me.

Tbh, I think the only way to reproduce this secondary bug would be to try and force a chain hunt and have someone get chained the exact moment that pinhead decides to teleport to you.

I'm not certain how often this occurs, but when this issue does occur, it heavily impedes the survivor and prevents any sort of interactive gameplay. In other words, it's relatively serious. This is more than likely something that will have to be fixed so that no one else has to deal with something like this.
