One of the only perks there truley is NO counter for.
Unbreakable.
There's no telling who has it and it costs killers so many 4ks its disgusting. I've seen games that would have been won with 5 gens but one unbreakable ruins it all. Make a counter to it and I will be happy. I know its not going to happen, but one can dream.

If there's no counter to the perk going off then why doesn't it activate if you're picked up and hooked?
(I would like it to be on record I despise the perk with a passion and would like a change or choice restriction with other perks. However there is a counter to Unbrekabale by itself).

It’s a deterrent for slugging. Otherwise there would be little risk to doing it
24 -
Check and mate.
For real though, is this a bait post because I'm pretty sure "not slugging" is the counter to a perk that only works when you get slugged.
16 -
Don't slug?
17 -
As @Phasmamain said the counter is not slugging. But if you have a situation where it's profitable or you have to slug, maybe count in the head the approximate time it takes to get up with unbreakable (which is like 24 seconds) and try to pick up the people that were on the ground the longest (if everyone is down or you down 2 people and the rest is far away).

Ya this ain't it. I would argue Iron will has no counter since they nerfed stridor thanks to Spirit....then nerfed her as well. That being said you can still attempt to follow blood but certain maps make this a joke.
7 -
Monstruos shrine has no counter also
9 -
What? It totally has a counter. It's called pick up the person. Doesn't mean you can always pick someone up without reprecussion, but not slugging is blatantly the way to play around it.
5 -
Visionary has no counter.
(I was gonna joke that Plunder's had no counter but then I remembered they gave some killer an anti-chest perk. Kinda rude tbh lol)
1 -
Make a counter to it and I will be happy
- Walk on top of downed survivor;
- Press spacebar;
- ....
- MindBlown.gif
7 -
What if the only thing you can do in that moment is slug to apply pressure. Picking up could throw the whole game in a lot of situations, and take too much time.

It may have very little window to counter, but how often do you actually get to use it? Let alone you only get to use it once in a match. Multiple survivors taking it just wastes perk slots so the Survivors are all weaker trying to each use a perk they may not use the entirety of the match.

Circle of Healing and Unbreakable. The solution to both is don't slug and don't split your focus. Choose one survivor and piledrive them into an early grave.
Or, slug and divide your damage very selectively, with forethought consideration for the presence of both these perks.

I thought for sure it would be the only true answer: Lightborn.
3 -
I suppose it's technically true that Lightborn has no counter.
Though there's others in that alley, like the aforementioned Visionary.
0 -
If the killer lets the survivors repair five generators, Visionary deactivates the rest of the match.
🤓
3 -
I wouldn't say any of that is very true. Unbreakable is used at least once per match for me. Not a bad thing and sometimes slugging is the only option. Gens speed with efficient survivors is near unstoppable and can feel like the traditional chase down hook routine is useless because you get a hook a gen pops 2nd hook another gen etc...

Pick them up first or knock them back down after. What else do you need?
1 -
Hence why I said "doesn't mean you can always pick someone up without reprecussion."
2 -
Or Up the Ante. Luck is broken in this game because there's nothing killers can do against it
2 -
There's lots of perks that have no actual counter, it just usually doesn't really matter. Unrelenting has no counter.
Other ones mentioned do though. COH - anti boon builds, unbreakable - don't slug, monstrous shrine - don't go down near basement, visionary - blindness perks/addons, tombstone/piece - lockers
Not necessarily great counters but they're out there
I guess you could argue unrelenting is countered by making sure the killer always hits you? 🤔
1 -
There are actually a lot of survivor perks that cannot be countered and these perks usually rely on wasting the killers time anyway.

Can't counter Lightborn
0 -
How do you counter Pop Goes The Weasel? Don't get hooked? Don't do gens?
0 -
I do not mind Unbreakable. Most survivors are not intelligent enough to run it in their full meta builds unless they are in a Sabo squad. But those clowns are super easy to play around. So if they have Unbreakable, I accept their reset as well earned. Way more so than say... DS.
0 -
Well Unbreakable doesn't need a counterplay, it is already a counterplay for survivors for killers like Oni who shines when they played in slug strategy. And its not useful all the time as well and can only be used once at a time. If you mean the infinite unbreakable boon, well... Boons are already broken.

Unbreakable counter play... Pick the survivor up lol. But seriously it has one job and it does that job well, I don't think it needs changed. It only really becomes a problem with certain other perks. Those are the perks that are the problem and need to be changed.
0 -
Not true. There is a very obscure and rare perk called "Monstrous Shrine". It might catch survivors off-guard if you manage to secure it and might even counter the CoH shenanigans. Might be a candiate for the new meta. What do you guys think?
1 -
Third Seal. There's your counter.
3 -
Honestly I truly consider unbreakable a terrible perk. Same with any anti-slug perks. Yeah it can have powerfulish combinations but for those to work its just...a lot...like Ive even done several tests and in (at that time red ranks which kinda shifted to MMR midway) I was still only getting actual use from unbreakable 5/100 games. Most killers pick you up right away or would much rather eat a DS
0 -
I mean, I had a Spirit game yesterday where one had Unbreakble and thanks to only 1 Perk (out of 16) they were able to completely reset after I downed them all because of over altruism.
I still got them all eventually because Spirit.

You're right. We should give Killers a visual que while carrying that they have Slippery Meat.
Making sure they don't jump off th... *M1's to down Survivor* FFS NERF SLIPPERY MEAT.
0 -
you deal with it.
0 -
I personally feel like unbreakable should be an obsession perk. I personally dislike how the perk doesn't tell the killer if someone used unbreakable or not. After recovering yourself from the dying state, while using unbreakable, you become the obsession and reveal your aura for 4/5/6 seconds.
This isn't much of a nerf, but it gives the information that I think the perk should give.
0 -
Wdym, it's easy to counter it. Just don't slugg lmao
0 -
As long as your holding the person on your shoulder unbreakable cant go off.........simple yet not
0 -
That wouldn't matter because one could use the 35% bonus speed and someone else pick them up. You still would be in the dark.
0 -
How does a killer counter 16 perks with 4? Doesn't matter if there's a counter when you have to deal with 15 other perks.
Btw, picking up is a counter.
1 -
It still gives you information. It doesn't tell you if that person has unbreakable or not but it does tell you that someone else went over to heal them. Therefore you know 2 survivors aren't doing anything.

DS exists to make tunneling a risk/reward decision. Without DS tunneling would be all reward all the time. Borrowed Time exists to make camping a risk/reward. Without Borrowed Time, camping would be all reward all the time.
It's the same thing with Unbreakable. It makes slugging a risk/reward. You can go for the slug--its you game, so you play as you like--but with the risk that there is an unbreakable in the game.
There isn't really "counters" to them because they are counters to popular killer playstyles.
There are killer perks like this too--ex: NoED (made especially powerful since the addition of boom totems), Blood Warden, No Way Out. These perks make gen rushing, and opening exit gates a risk/reward.
2 -
The only thing there's no counter to is the way you spelled "Truly". (No hard feelings, just a funny thought I had while going through the thread)
1 -
Sure there are. English classes, autocorrect…
1 -
You have about 20 seconds to pick them up if you suspect Unbreakable. So there is. Counter.
1 -
The counter is to bubba tantrum on their downed bodies to establish dominance.
1 -
Don’t go near basement
1 -
Well, it may sounds dumb but...
The counter is just to not slug. I do not know how Killers do this in my survivor games but almost every times I use Boon: Eponential or Unbreakable they never slug me or a teammate. I was playing against an Oni the other day and not even he slugged!
Unbreakable is fine for me. It is mostly in the nature of the survivor perks to be "hidden" until it is too late for you: Dead Hard, Deceisive Strike, Unbreakable, Lithe, Deception, Deliverance...only a few perks have tells: Object of Obsession, Second Wind and No Mither...
0 -
You're not technically wrong, but instead--and, hear me out: what if the killers slugged more instead. Same result, yeah? And both sides get more match time, so it's technically a net improvement.
In all seriousness, that is how counter slugging if you know you'll want to slug later in the match.
0 -
You can even slug. Just be sure to come back before fully recover.
0 -
Borrowed Time, that's the one you meant which has zero counter.
0 -
The counter to Unbreakable is not to slug excessively, and if you're going to - to ensure you remain in the area.
