Character Skills balance

I've always felt that skills from the original owner should be more powerful.

My example easily explained is that teachable variants only levels up to 2. Or that skills leveled up to 4 when used by the original survivor.

It's really cool that everyone can use everything but people could play each characters roles in a different unique way if there were benefits to using a particular survivor/killers abilities if they were the original owner of the skills and they were slightly better in the owners hands. 😁😬

If Survivors had a "Tier 4" for their Teachable Perks, you'd only see Megs, Bills, Mikaelas, David and Lauries

I kinda wish that all characters were forced to use at least one of their four perks on their original teachables, with the other 3 being whatever they want. Killers included.

Or, 4 perks like now and one 5th weakened version of one of their 3 teachables. I thought it would be cool and make your character choice a bit more impactful.

Tier 4 Dead Hard makes you dash forward so fast you teleport.

Tier 4 COH heals everyone who enters the radius.

This is very specifically not being done because it makes balancing an absolute nightmare.

Survivors should not have any unique abilities at all that affect gameplay. BP bonuses maybe, sure. Eg, Bill gets extra Boldness, Dwight gets extra Objective, etc.

That would only be viable if all perks were of equal value. Since perks are nowhere near balanced, that just wouldn't work.

I would hate that because I would need to play as Min (Alert) or Meg/Mikaela (Adrenaline/CoH).

I hate to play as male characters because they are too chunky to me (Wake Up & Were Gonna Live Forever).

If someone has put time and points to get all perks for every character, why punish them by forcing to play as certain character.

Also your suggestion would just make the game boring because there would be 5 characters you see in every game. No one wouldn't play as Ace (his perks suck). No one can't play as Steve or Nancy (they don't have any teachable perks).
