A "stop repairing" or "stop action" button.

Okay so, II have absolutely no idea if this is a problem others encounter or iif I'm just unlucky, but so, so often, I'l need to stop repairing a gen, and of course the exact micro second II drop my repair button, a skill check comes and the gen explodes. Which often means when I want to heal someone but I'm repairing a gen I have to actively take the risk of making my gen explode, exposing my team mate to danger more than if I just dont heal them.

It would be better to have a "stop action" button so that I just click it, and it stops repairing, UNLESS there is a skill check going, in which cases I automatically stop repairing after the skill check, and I'd need to click the repair button again if I want to go back on the gen.

I'm still pretty sure that's meant to happen unless you leave a gen right after a skillcheck.

So just wait for a skillcheck, THEN leave. Survivors don't need yet another hand-holding mechanic.

And this would directly nerf Killers; less gen-popping means less lost progress, and less alerts. So Just be less impatient.

I think we shouldn't have to specify that for everything, but just because I'm aware that this iis a very survivor meta doesn't mean no change should be made towards the survivors.

I don't even feel like it's fair as a kiiller that someone reveals to me their position not because they missed a skillcheck, but purely because of RNG.

Sadly, sometimes, I spend an ENTIRE generator without one single skillcheck. Waiting for one seems like bad desiign by itself. I don't think developpers intended for survivors to have to commit to repairing untiil a skillcheck gives them an opportunity to stop.

I made a thread about changing how skill checks with generators worked. You could try reading it here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/308999/should-generators-be-made-more-engaging-to-repair

But generally skill checks for the generators should be more predictable, but be more involved to do was my thought. Currently, as you said sometimes you get no skill checks at all and it's just a very boring time repairing the generators. Even if you get a lot of skill checks, it's still not much of a chance as the skill checks are pretty mindless and you only fail them if you're pulled off generator suddenly by the killer and bad luck.
