Legion rework idea. (TL;DR Reverse Blight)
We can all agree that the power is somewhat dull and is too simple, right? I have a way we can keep it fairly easy to follow along with but give it a super high skill ceiling. I only had this idea come to me thanks to the fact that Ghostie and Legion are getting changes. So you know how Blight can bump into walls, instantly speed up and your turning is severely limited? Why not have the opposite of that? Introducing the new name for Legion's power
Killer Power: Calculated Ferocity
Your methods may be considered chaotic to others but the inner machinations of your mind have other plans. Plans that will require quick thinking and clever maneuvering.
The power will slowly charge up over a period of 24 seconds once used fully but will be instantly filled at the start of a trial. When pressing the secondary button, slowly build up speed whilst having your turning fairly reduced the more you pick up in terms of velocity. You will keep your normal movement animation until you reach 135% killer movement speed. While in this Ferocious state, you can bring a survivor into the dying state by hitting them while they are in the deep wound state. Hitting a survivor will set your speed back to 125% killer movement speed. Hitting an injured survivor will bring them into the deep wound state, giving them the time to run away. When damaging a survivor in deep wound in this state, you will lose killer instinct. For the duration that Calculated Ferocity is active, you must not hit any surface that you can collide with or else you will be brought out of the Ferocious state to be fatigued for 3 seconds. This will be followed by a reduction of your power meter by 33%. Should you come into contact with a pallet or window while in the Ferocious state, vault over it with ease. During the vault, you can reposition yourself midway through in order to adjust your exit trajectory. Should you collide with a breakable wall at a high enough velocity, bash through it using your shoulder and set your movement speed back to 125% killer movement speed. Over the course of 8 seconds, increase your movement speed from 120% to 200%. This sprint will last for 32 seconds when used at its maximum capacity. You can end this sprint at any time at the cost of facing a fatigue lasting 2.5 seconds.

that feels a bit overcomplicated.
maybe just make it so legion's got some sort of teleport through lockers?
or some sort of disguise ability?
I had a discussion on the topic at one point:

What's complicated about it? You build up speed, go super fast, stab stab stab, profit.

I just meant the way the speed picks up.
I don't know, maybe my brain is just malfunctioning. There's a chance I was just being dense.
after rereading, I've come to the conclusion I was just being dense.

At least you realized and that to me is good to hear. Do you think this is viable as an actual power.
1 -
eh, maybe. speed killers tend to end up B> tier.
Also, that was self-deprecating humour. I wasn't knocking your idea, I just thought it had a lot of moving parts in comparison to current legion.

That's good enough for me. It's better than what we have now.

it is somewhat already exists as power. Billy ability has limited stearing and it has slow wind-up before chainsaw sprint mode. he doesn't vault windows but he does break pallets. If you knock yourself into object, you suffer cooldown but you end chainsaw to prevent cooldown.
Billy doesn't have deep wounds but he has instantdown. I do not think it would be a viable power because reduced stearing means your more likely to hit objects and on some maps, your legion power would be nearly worthless such as Lery and RPD. The bonus amount of speed would never get actualized at loops and would only be useful on if you play it like drift king billy. His power would only get used in short-bursts. He'd be stronger billy due to no wind-up but less rewards from deep wound vs instant down.
Legion's old problem is lack of counter-play. Just watch Cope's video on old Legion. His design is that he is suppose to act like a survivor. This is why he can vault pallets and windows. I'd say they need return legion's ability to down survivors but give survivors some method of counter-play against his ability.
My suggestion would be that survivors gain infinity dead hard when deep wounded by legion. If they time their dead hard, they can dodge feral frenzy swing and put legion into fatique state. Cope does this in the video, but old legion had no cooldown for missing his attacks and could just endlessly attack until he downs the survivor. In modern day, When legion misses an attack, he is kicked out of his ability. Its just that his attack has no threat level and legion has no real incentive to use his ability on injured survivors. Legion's ability too useless vs injured survivors currently.

I'll take a look at that video! Thanks! Just wanted to make a power for legion that could be based on speed.

Killer Power: Calculated Ferocity
Your methods may be considered chaotic to others but the inner machinations of your mind have other plans. Plans that will require quick thinking and clever maneuvering.
The power will slowly charge up over a period of *10 seconds* once used fully but will be instantly filled at the start of a trial. *Calculated Ferocity can be used while partially full, however.* When pressing the secondary button, slowly build up speed whilst having your turning fairly reduced the more you pick up in terms of velocity. You will keep your normal movement animation until you reach 135% killer movement speed. *While in this Ferocious state, you can afflict them with the deep wound state.* Hitting a survivor will set your speed back to 125% killer movement speed. Hitting an injured survivor will bring them into the deep wound state, *refilling your power meter whilst giving them the time to run away.* For the duration that Calculated Ferocity is active, you must not hit any surface that you can collide with or else you will be brought out of the Ferocious state to be fatigued for 3 seconds. This sprint will last for *16* seconds when used at its maximum capacity. You can end this sprint at any time at the cost of facing a fatigue lasting 2.5 seconds.
It'll be similar to old legion because you can activate it regardless of the power being fully charged. None of that infinite swing bs, moonwalk exploits or downing them with frenzy. There are other changes here you can all enjoy!

I made a better version that stops survivors from dying to deep wound while keeping all of his map pressure! Check it out!

Credit to Keezo for helping with the adjustments by challenging my rework idea! Love you, man!

Oh and the original one I made is here if anyone wanted to see how busted it was: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/311748/legion-rework-idea-tl-dr-reverse-blight

There needs to be a reward for hitting multiple survivors with one frenzy. Maybe for each survivor hit you increase your movement speed. Or after you have inflicted dw 4 times with the same ff, you can down injured survivors
2 -
Fair but you'll have survivors whining about it to the point it'll get taken away. May as well save the trouble.

I mean... they could have just merged that into the main post and not leave it to die in the comments...

So the Legion has to activate their speedy ability, or they're just 135% normally? Do they have the same meter that they have now?
0 -
No. To make it easier to explain. They'll be at the normal 115 until they activate it. Once activated, the immediately jump to 125% speed and slowly build up speed during their sprint. 135% is when the movement animation changes from normal to the frenzied like we have now! :>
