Addon pass for Hag! Ideas & suggestions
Hag is one of those killers that has seen very little love from the devs, as she is not a frequently commonly picked killer. However, as a Hag main I'll advocate for her whenever possible. To me, she's fun to use and her ability differs from any other killer.
Since release she has seen very few changes, especially to her addons. At this point the Hag has maybe 3-4 useful addons. Giving her an addon pass and incorporating the newer status effects that have been added into the game since her release would be one way to make her addons and game play more dynamic and varied.
Iridescence's:
- Currently:
- increases the Movement speed of The Hag by +4.5 % to 4.6 m/s.
- Survivors suffer from a Hindered Status Effect while inside a Phantasm Trap's Trigger range, reducing their Movement speed by -9 %.
- Disables the ability of The Hag to teleport to triggered Phantasm Traps.
- Suggested change/rework:
- Remove the disability the prevents her from teleporting to her traps.
- Remove the Hindered Status Effect.
- This addon decreases the Hag's available traps to 5
- This addon applies the Exposed Status Effect for 2 seconds when a Survivor triggers a Phantasm Trap.
- Phantasm Trap Trigger radius decreased by 15%.
- (Rational: as an iridescent this addon should be incredibly strong, currently it's more of a hindrance. This addon change/rework is of a similar concept to the Huntress's Irri Head and/or the Clowns bottles. Small debuff's are included into the perk to allow for more potential counter play as this perk does inflict the Exposed Status Effect. With only 5 traps, this addon would still prove to be very difficult to utilize in large maps. The suggested decrease in Trigger radius is so it cannot be made stronger when used with her addons the increase Trigger radius)
Currently:
Grants The Hag the ability to teleport to any un-tripped Phantasm Trap at will.
Mint Rag applies a cool-down of 15 seconds to teleports between un-tripped Phantasm Traps.
This cool-down does not extend to regular teleports to tripped Phantasm Traps.
Suggested change/rework:
A visual indication now shows over the Trap to which the Hag is facing to teleport to.
Phantasm Traps can no longer be tripped by survivors, so do not disappear if a survivor runs over them. (Can still be destroyed by flashlights and other normal means.)
The aura of the survivor who runs over the Hag's Trap is shown to you for 2 seconds.
Mint Rag has a cool-down for 20 seconds to teleport between traps.
(Rational: The Hag's complete map traversal is an incredibly strong ability, made stronger through this iridescent. Currently it is difficult to teleport to tripped traps vs un-tripped traps using this addon, disabling the tripped phantasm trap mechanic and requiring this addon to fully utilize a more manual approach adds a greater level of decision making into game play. This addon will still require skill to utilize however will benefit from being less clunky to use. Since survivors cannot activate the traps with this change, it cannot be used with my suggested change/rework of Waterlogged shoe.)
Very Rare's:
Currently:
Triggering a Phantasm Trap causes the Survivor to be deafened for 6 seconds.
Suggested change/rework:
Triggering a Phantasm Trap causes the Survivor to be deafened for 6 seconds.
Phantasm Trap now applies the Incapacitated Status Effect for 15 seconds.
(Rational: The current "Deafened" effect from this addon does near nothing and can be seen more as a meme addon than an addon for viable game play. Application of the Incapacitated status effect at least incorporates one of the newer status effects added to the game recently while still in-line with the concept/idea of the addon. The effect prevents the survivor from doing Objective related tasks for a short duration.)
Currently:
Triggering a Phantasm Trap causes the following effects for its tripped duration:
- Suppresses the Terror Radius of The Hag.
- Increases the Fake Terror Radius of the Mud Phantasms to 16 meters.
Suggested change/rework:
Tripped Phantasm Traps causes the following effects for its tripped duration:
Applies the Undetectable status Effect on the Hag.
Increases the Fake Terror Radius of the Mud Phantasms to 16 meters and your Phantasm trap now has a red stain.
Surprise attacks on survivors applies the hemorrhage and mangled statues effects. (Surprise attacks can not be initiated if you have teleport to the trap.)
(Rational: The idea behind this addon is more so to mess with survivors who've tripped your traps but are too far to teleport to, while also allowing for the possibility of a sneak attack. However, primary Hag game play revolves around the defense of a small section of the map and teleporting to most of the tripped traps. The suggested change encourages the Hag to apply pressure outside of a small web in order to achieve and receive more value from the addons secondary effects. The removal of the terror radius without removal of the red stain is an incomplete Undetectable status effect which requires a modernization of this addon.)
- Currently:
- Mud Phantasms have collision with Survivors.
Grants 300 % bonus Blood points in the Deviousness Category.
- Disables The Hag's ability to teleport to tripped Phantasm Traps.
Suggested change/rework:
Mud Phantasms have collision with Survivors.
Remove the disability that prevents the Hag from teleporting to her traps
Remove the 300% bonus Blood points in the Deviousness Category
Survivors that collide with the Mud Phantasm will scream, revealing their location. If the survivor is carrying an item, it is dropped when colliding with the Mud Phantasm (dropped items DO NOT drain charges when on the ground.)
(Rational: Phantasm collision is actually a fun effect for this addon, however current disability that prevents teleportation severely limits the usefulness of this addon. As a "Very Rare" it is heartbreaking knowing that this falls under Otz's "The Thing" discussion. The addition to blood-points in the specific category is both unnecessary and unwanted, a dated mechanic which requires modernization. The final effect that forces survivors to drop their items receives inspiration from the current Hag meta of bringing the perk "Franklin's Demise", as flashlights specifically can be of detriment to the Hag and her Traps, this addon incorporates a mini version of the perks effect without sacrificing the charges from the item. The effect of forcing the survivor to drop their item is only applied if they run into/or touch the phantasm, not if they trigger the trap, allowing some counter play to the addons effect.)
I for one do not find usefulness in one or two of her Greens and their weaker equivalents but for now I rest my case. I'm hoping these changes reaches the Dev's and interests them. I love the Hag as a killer as well as her concept and game play. I just would love to see her in the same spotlight as the other killers as well.
Thank you! <3
