A neat idea on how to reduce grind and have Carl the cashier
Have a Blood point store where you sell addons, items, and offerings to Carl.
Carl will give you blood points based on what you offered to him. He will also give special offers if he wants a certain things like extra blood points or an offering at random points in the day or week.
Carl was revived by the Entity to be a merchant to all those who are unlucky to be in her realm. He is not a Survivor nor a Killer since he lacks the skills to kill or survive but he provides exchanges and sometimes specials limited things.
This is my neat idea on how to reduce the grind while having the best cashier in the franchise.

An actual advantage to this from BHVR's perspective would be a way to see which items, be they actual items, addons, or offerings, people regularly sell. After all, this will most likely be done with weak or unwanted items so this can be a way of seeing what's most considered more worth selling by the playerbase

revamp the store ingame for cosmetics and have carl be who you buy it from, have this in the store too

I don't really know. Think its a fan made picture since got it from google. Was using this as an example since the set up would match DBD if they replace everything with horror themed stuff.
And that would be the main thing people would love to do with Carl. He will also want certain things at random points though the week, month, or day but he will only accept a certain amount.
Basically there is no limit for what you can sell him but if its something he really wants Carl will give you a bonus reward for it. There is an amount of how many times you can get the bonus until you claimed all of it then it will only give you the normal reward.
This way Carl will have more use then just trading brown or useless stuff. The Reward will either be more blood points or a tier higher of what you gave him. Ultra Rare stuff will give you event stuff but like I said there is a cap for the bonus reward so you can't get an endless supply of Event items.
You have to go in Carl's store through the Character select so you can either sell your items for blood points or redeem a bonus for that character. This is just so you can't redeem bonus on other characters that don't have what Carl wants.
Lastly this will be a good way to trade all the junk you have on random characters you don't like for Blood points or if your planning to Prestige a character you can earn some of your blood points back.
That would be a neat idea but in a different way. Once in a while a special outfit will come into the store which you can buy if you have certain rare addons but it will require a lot of them to buy the outfit.
There will be a flyer with the outfit on it which if you have the proper amount, you will hold down a button to claim it. Once this happens, Carl does an animation that shows excitement like a thumbs up or something. He takes the flyer down and gives it to you.
Tbh feel like that would be too much work for Bhvr. Have an icon like this on main menu but something like "Carl's Market" or something.
Also would be worried since revamping usually means bugs.
