Any tips for using the flashlight on Switch?

I’m honestly surprised this hasn’t been discussed more. In a nutshell, the flashlight controls on Switch are extremely janky. The sensitivity seems to be cranked up to such an obscene degree that even barely touching the joystick will cause your flashlight beam to fly off into space. You basically can’t aim while using the flashlight, you have to aim before even pressing the trigger, so using it is a huge gamble. Any Switch players have tips on how to master this elusive mechanic? Have any of you actually DONE it? (And no, “don’t play on the Switch” isn’t a realistic solution for me here. :P)

You can adjust the sensitivity in the settings? Though it applies not only to aiming but to everything that you do with the joystick (looking around), which is already limited…

i guess aiming before actually using the flashlight is your best bet - and hoping that BHVR finally listens to us Controller players and add the minimum of controller settings a game nowadays should have..

It's really difficult. I think I've only managed to pull off one or two saves with a flashy.

If going for pallet blinds, Self-Aware to adjust your aim mid blind and Alert to get the hang of timing. Camera sensitivity around 35 to stiffen aim. Yellow handle addon maybe helps? I'm not convinced it does though.

If going for a tome I've found flashbang and blast mine are more efficient.
