Do you think Stranger Things will ever return?
I'm kinda new to the game, I've been playing since I saw that the Stranger Things chapter was leaving because I really loved the show and always had an inkling that I'd enjoy Dead by Daylight. I managed to grab the DLC during its sale but didn't purchase any outfits, unsure if I'd genuinely enjoy the game.
Well, months later I'm absolutely devastated I didn't grab cosmetics for my favourite characters, and I'd like to know what people think the odds are of it EVER returning?
I'm looking at it from multiple views. The amount of effort that went into the collaboration is insane. New killer with entirely new animations, structure and assets, a whole map, two new survivors, nine new perks etc. The whole thing seemed to be going so well, they even had new skins merely 5 months before the plug was pulled (Jonathan & Nancy Season 2 skins.)
On the other hand, it seemed very very strange, the way it was handled. Removing the map, making the perks available to all, re-naming them AND re-doing their artwork. It just seems so sudden and weird, since it's one of the most beloved DLCs in the game to date.
Personally, and this is me just hoping with all my might, I think they'll have a Stranger Things mini-event where they put everything on sale for a limited time when Stranger Things 4 comes out and have everything playable again during that time before removing it again. It could be more like an event than a chapter.
What do you guys think will happen?

I appreciate people's disappointment that they are no longer able to purchase anything for the Stranger Things Chapter, however we communicated very clearly and very early that this Chapter would be removed from the Store and did a FAQ to answer the questions the Community had with regards to the Chapter as well as putting on sales on cosmetics etc for our players to be able to purchase things prior to them being removed from sale. Not really much more we could have done then.

Yeah, I know, it's just a massive shame is all. The lack of communication regarding the chapter's future is a little upsetting, too. I don't think it's BHVR's fault, though.

There is no need of communication. It is gone.
It is on Netflix if they actively want to bring it back. I think only if their game playns flop drastically.

I honestly hope it doesn't I know that's a very unpopular opinion but Netflix did us all dirty not just Behavior and they'd do it again on the flip of a dime if it benefitted them.

Yeah, but it's weird how they never stated publicly whether it was going to be gone forever or not. It was called a "Last Chance Sale" and they say they were "permanently sealing off Hawkins Lab" but it almost seemed like a cash-grab to make it seem like limited content when Netflix would likely approach them with another temporary license when ST4 comes out for the money.
I mean, look at SMITE. Netflix still sells Stranger Things cosmetics there, and the cosmetics are labelled "Exclusive", not "Limited", which means they will always return. This makes me think the whole leaving thing was a bit of a money grab and that they'll bring it back when the series is running again.

They stated that it will be gone.
The other opinion was that Netflix wanted too much money for the license and that BHVR refused this. Could also be.

Could be. I just wish I still had access to the outfit I got, but I haven't had access to it since the chapter left the game.

The communication in regards to the removal of the chapter and the FAQ was brilliant, it was pretty clear exactly what was happening. I'm more talking about the chances of it ever returning. It wasn't entirely ruled out. It just felt weird for it to come to a close after the amount of effort the developers put into the map, characters, animations etc.
I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'd love to know whether or not there's even a chance it returns in some form- whether as a limited-time event or the chapter itself returning.
