Make Cross-Progression between console and pc already!
Zero updates on any progress with cross-progression for all platforms. I would love to switch from PS4 to PC (windows edition) but I want all my progress to carry over. Really avoiding having to say goodbye to 4 years of progress and be force to start over. I know cross-progression is coming for all platforms. Just want more info on when and what we can expect. Will be willing to spend more money on dlc/cosmetics once I can properly switch platforms with cross-progression. Until then I'm barely even playing anymore.

We cannot confirm if or when cross progression will happen with other platforms other than Steam, Stadia and Epic Games Store. There are no guarantees I'm afraid. We know it's a community wish and we will continue to work with our partners with regards to this but we cannot confirm if it will happen I'm afraid.
(Switch cross progression is currently delayed after being announced some time back)

Is it possible to have some insight as to why? Is it a financial issue between your partners and BHVR? Is it an issue of a contract having too many liabilities? BHVR clearly have the capabilities, showing they have done it with Epic Games and Stadia, so it isn't a coding issue. We just want more information on why it isn't happening. If it's something that needs to be kept private for any reason, then I understand that.
I'm only so eager and curious for it, because the only reason I haven't touched dbd is cross progression between PS4 and PC. Any information is better than no information. Especially with BHVR.

Usually, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have to mutually agree to these kind of things. Or in your case, Sony and Microsoft.

Well, you want to play the same character on a Sony device and a Microsoft device, right? They have to make deals (usually $$$) with each company to allow players to have access to their account on multiple platforms. Right now, Sony only wants you playing DBD on their system and Microsoft on PC to make more money. They have to strike a deal with the developers. Thats just typical business practice.

For real - it's ridiculous that this isn't in place already. Everybody that's like "nah it's xbox/sony" meanwhile Ubisoft has it in pretty much all of their games.

They have stated multiple times they are still trying but just can’t confirm it at the moment as it still isn’t solely down to them. And there is obviously money involved.

It makes no sense that it would be money really. If you still had to buy the game on both platforms, they still make money on both ends (probably more really) and I bet many people would be willing to go as far as repurchasing the DLCs so long as they got to keep all their progress. Tell me where the loss of money is if your purchasing everything again. Now I agree the argument on the DLC makes sense because they might want their cut of that, but I just gave you a solution to that. At least give them the option. I'd rather be able to migrate platforms and have to re-buy the stuff than have to rebuy everything AND start over as it is now.

I mean, If I'm using the xbox app, to download and play the game on my pc using the same account . I should have access to all of the stuff thats in my xbox. kind of silly for it not to be that way.

You are not the only one asking for this. Many people don’t want to repurchase the DLCs and would complain that they have to.
also any future purchase of characters and cosmetics with auric cells will be made on only one platform, meaning the other one misses out. As well as playercount on the platform, possible online play subscriptions.
