Boon Nerf Without Changing the Perks
*Not my idea but I haven't seen it on here yet so I figured I'd submit it*
The idea would be that every time you set a boon, it gets an invisible token that adds time to how long it takes to set it. So while boons can be set indefinitely, it would make it worth it for killers to snuff them and make it actually seem like a hard decision as the game goes on. Do you spend 30+ seconds setting a totem if someone is on hook or on the ground?
Lots of killers are upset with having to go out of their way to snuff, and making it worth it every time would be a nice quality of life change without having to nerf any of the perks at all.

No.
It just needs a life span you, get 3 charges per bones then the bones turn to dust.
Killer's dont care about how much it heals or how fast, they care that it has no lifespan. Imagine if Killers could reapply Ruin or Noed at will.
Survs would call it op and busted.

I've seen many suggestions like this and I think it's an alright suggestion that seems safe.
This seems like a direct nerf toward CoH since I don't see a charges system working for the other boons besides Exponential, but that boon is already underwhelming.
Not against a CoH nerf, but I'm sure OP wanted a suggestion for the boon concept overall.

Limited charges, destroyable, anything but what we have now.

Just a reminder coup de grace or whatever it was called only got 5 stacks which arent refillable, extremly easy to waste and not even THAT strong.
Meanwhile boons like COH exists.

Or 2 mins to cool down after the killer removes a boon.

Boons need to be High Risk High Rewards, just like Hexes, Boon got snuffed...too bad you lost 1-2 perks in your whole game, it should've been a 1 time deal and not infinite, infinite Shadow Step on RPD/Game/Midwich is pain, COH is infinite fast heal, it actually sucks to lose a chase only to see the survivor already healed up

Just change number or give effect cool down.

But the % isn't the problem, it's that it can be relit Multiple times, so yeah, I'd say the only solution would be a cooldown

I feel like Boons needs a subcategory just because of CoH.
Every Boon, aside from CoH, works similarly.
A 24 Meter Radius, which is tied to a Totem and grants a "useful" (most Boons aren't that strong and I'd blame that on CoH) effect if the Killer is nearby and a smaller effect if the Killer isn't inside it's Radius.
CoH doesn't do any of that, in fact, it does the opposite. It only works whenever the Killer is far away from the Boon Totem.
Boons, as a whole, are a fine mechanic, if not a little weak. CoH is the only problematic Boon Perk. CoH either needs an entire rework to function how all the other Boons work, or nerf it by turning it into a Corrupted Boon.
Corrupted Boons, if there were any other Boon Perks that were on the same level as CoH, would work like CoH. A strong effect, with the same 24 Meter Radius as a normal Boon, that works best when the Killer is away.
If a Corrupted Boon were to be snuffed by a Killer, it would turn into an unblessable Hex Totem (similar to the Rekindled Totems from Hex: Pentimento) that does the opposite of it's original effect.
In CoH's case, it would have a 24 Meter Radius in which heals get slowed down by 75%

I fear that this would be too dramatic for the boons that aren't CoH.
Unfortunately I don't think there's a way around it; you just can't nerf boons as a concept, it has to be a nerf to CoH specifically. The other three aren't problematic and messing with the core way they function would barely affect CoH anyway due to the fact it ignores a lot of how boons are set up.
