“Disconnection From Host” + DC Penalty
The last 3 days has been a pain to play. Randomly during the match I’ll get kicked out (happens far more often as killer but sometimes as survivor) and it will show Disconnection From Host. I’ll still receive my bloodpoints (although my party streamers will be wasted since for some reason these offerings are not working when this happens) but I do get a DC penalty.
Right before I get disconnected my character will freeze but only when I enter an interaction, yet nearby survivors are still able to move as normal. As a killer, this would happen when damaging a gen or breaking a pallet. As a survivor, this happens when healing or mending.
Its happened so often to the point where the past 2 times I have been given a 15 min penalty. Am I going to be banned if I continue to try to play despite it not being my fault?
It’s not my internet. I have a stable connection with no packet loss and every other online game works perfectly without issue. I searched twitter and saw many people mentioning on DBD’s post that this has been happening to them too recently. I’m on PS5 btw so maybe the issue is specific to this version?
