Always loved the book when I was 12 and I still enjoy it to this day which I am out of High school.

The idea is rarely used anymore besides the Johnny deep film and the Cancelled Sleepy Hollow TV show....which was awesome and should have never been cancelled.

Pretty obvious he will not be riding a horse but the idea is still there. He could be a range killer that throws fireballs are creates hazards that inflicts survivors with an effect or injure them. Could have many weapons like a battle axe or a sword. Most likely the killer would be from Civil war era due to most interpretations of the known character.

We already have Blight who is Mr Hyde so why not an Original chapter based on Sleepy Hollow story? I really hope BHVR does not make it a skin since I would buy every outfit for him. The range of outfits would be Medieval era to Civil war and maybe Victorian era since I see some designs similar to that.

Story wise, I could see him being something like Deathslinger who is not truly evil or pure evil like Doctor.

I do have more thoughts on the subject which I will share more but wanna see if anyone actually is interested into having a Sleepy Hollow chapter.

    Examples of designs are

    Civil war

    Victorian

    Medival

There are other ones like Western and the Dullhan which is the Irish version but can't find any pics yet.

Yeah true, could always just put a pumpkin on the shoulders as default and have a free alt head which is dark mist that mimics the head shape.

[Edit] Maybe just make it a Pumpkin and have a skull version as optional just for variety since mist head might be difficult.

I mean demo has no eyes, Nurse has her eyes covered, and Pyramid head has a giant pyramid on his head. I think we can just ignore it lol

How are we going to see where we going tho? I don't mind the chapter idea, just...how would we see?

Deathslinger is very evil. He fantasized about using his engineering skills to kill people even when he was kid and shot a man with a railroad spike driver.

As for a headless horseman, I don't feel strongly one way or the other, but if I remember that story correctly the horseman was just a fraud right? I feel like he suffers from being a horror villain that I saw too much of in my childhood. Books, cartoons, movies. Like I think he's been in Scooby Doo content twice between the OG series and A Pup Named Scooby Doo. So he just kinda feels generic in a weird way, he never really had that spark for me, but I don't dislike him.

Most likely just like every other killer since its 1st person view.

True but think should just make the Headless Horseman had a pumpkin head for the blind hitbox.

Cool name ideas would be "The Rider" or more evil name "The Apocalypse" as a reference to the 4 horsemen.

Though the Phantom would be neat and since we most likely won't get Phantom of the opera as a killer lol. Also makes more sense.

Ik but Deathslinger mostly did bounties unless you cross him like the Warden did and when you compare him to other killers he is more Lawful chaotic.

In the OG story we never know if it was Brom who dressed up as the horseman or not. It is bit generic but so is Mr Hyde who we got ingame who is called The Blight.

Harmful/Violent ghosts usually become like that if they die in violent ways like a cannonball to the head or died in battle so it is quite possible that The Headless Horseman was real. People usually see him an a non horror character until they realize he actually chops the heads of people which is shown in the Johnny deep film which is the best adaptation of the book besides the TV show that modernize the story.

I was discussing this recently and I'm shocked to see others express interest. As far as the mount goes I think the horse could work as your weapon, vault and even mori. What do you think of these?

Pallet break: Your horse crashes its front hooves into the pallet

Basic attack: Your horse quickly flicks its head

Lunge: The horse hops forward a bit headbutting.

Vault: The horse leaps through the window or over the ledge with your view going up high before dropping low

Pick up/carry: The horseman holds the reigns with his dominant hand while his other hand glows with a blue, fiery energy hoisting the survivor in the air. While picking them up he laughs maniacally.

Hit recovery: The horse bows its head and trots slowly while The horseman pets its mane and laughs maniacally

Stun: The horse snorts while the horseman pulls the reigns to maintain control

Mori: The horse brutally tramples the survivor to death before whinnying and standing on its hind legs while the horseman laughs maniacally.

I feel like it'd be another twins situation where its a cool concept thats left half baked/ doesnt fit the game well.

    Ichabod Crane for survivor.

power idea: The headless horseman throws a jack-o-lantern head at the survivor (is has shorter range than say the huntress's hatchets) if they hit a survivor they can't see anything (other than a remove head prompt and progress bar) until they remove the head or get hit. During this time the horseman moves, vaults and destroys pallets much faster. The survivor is revealed to you with killer instinct. It will not take a very long time to remove the head. A survivor removing their head or getting stunned removes these benefits. Hitting a survivor destroys the head immediately.

Normal m1 is the horse stomping it's hooves. Secondary attack is a flaming pumpkin that does something special when you hit a survivor with it. Great mobility with a recharge because you're on a horse. Something like that.

A killer that can't be blinded then. Change the rhetoric a bit, its been 20+ chapters after all.

The mounted aspect could be problematic maybe he can summon up his horse for mobility, but can;t attack while mounted.

Then give him a short range attack hurling a flaming pumpkin head.

The mori is he decapatates you and collects your head.

    I like it.

Tbh, I would rather have him without Daredevil since cosmetic wise and would be a pain for animations but also map wise.

Pray to the Entity it does not go that route. I want him to be a multi-power killer like the Licensed ones but not like that.

I can see a similar power to this but instead of the "Victor" Mechanic, I would make the survivors have a burn effect while they try and pat it down. Makes it more threatening for the killer.

If the horse was part of the power, I would make it mostly for mobility. Have it turn like Hillbilly but it has no collision sorta like nurse. Lasts only for a little bit so can't abuse it. While riding Daredevil you go through walls and obstacles which leaves an ash decal just for atheistic looks.

Pumpkin/Fireball would be the main power since that recharges pretty quick. Normal m1 would be the 1 handed weapon.

He freaks out everyone, how can you look into the face of death if it does not have one.

Pretty much just add a Jack o lantern as default and have other special heads like a Knight helmet and a Skull. He won't really be Headless anymore so would call him "The Phantom" since it's pretty fitting with his background.

Indeed, reason I would say it would have to be a 2nd power with mix of Nurse/Hillbilly for that 2nd. No collision but has turn issues. Though takes a bit to mount on and hop off to prevent any spamming or unfair quick downs.

Flaming  Pumpkin or Fire ball would sorta be like huntress but there is no ammo reload and creates a area hazard if it misses the target.

Like your thinking but most likely it will be a modern time survivor. I would say he is related to the Crane family tree or is somehow connected. His main job in life would be a history teacher or a Librarian so it fits with The Headless Horseman's introduction.
