Can't open Steam profiles during match anymore

This has been around since last year so I'm not sure if it's actually a bug or if it's intentional. We used to be able to press escape and click the names of other Steam players in order to open their profiles mid match. A little after the Artist came out this stopped being possible. The only times we now have access to the option is pre game and post game.
Very minor thing, just something that would be nice to have again.
