Can I report this person?

This person was a huntress I looped for most of a match- she didn't like that, so when she happened to get me in next match, she put on a green mori and targeted me personally, ignoring all game objectives just to kill me. I don't mind tunneling, but this is just personal targeting. I am not sure if this is reportable because the reason she was going after me personally was from a previous match.

If it only happened once then it’s not reportable as you can’t really proof that it was meant personally against you.

maybe she just wanted to mori one survivor for a daily/challenge or something and it just happened to be you.

If you are facing that player more often and it’s always the case that they target specifically you and ignore others then it would be reportable/bannable

No, there's no rule about killing a survivor because you recognize them. We're supposed to kill survivors, it's never against the rules.

It would be cheating if they were somehow able to influence being matched with you, but otherwise killers are allowed to kill you using mori's in every single match.

Also reporting doesn't really do anything.

You signed up to play a game where killers try to kill you, just accept that it's going to happen sometimes. Work on making it happen less, that's what this game is.

So go ahead and describe the part where the killer abused gameplay. Using a mori once?

How could a killer influence the game's matchmaking without a hack?

Can't. Can't target a survivor repeatedly using in-game mechanics, all you can do is play against who you're matched with. Finding a way to do so would be against the rule you quoted, but at this time there's no way to do this without hacks, so it doesn't apply unless someone is using hacks.

Killers don't control the matchmakaing AT ALL. We can dodge or ready up, there's no "target ___________" option. There's no exploit, no game mechanic to abuse, no way to make this rule apply except to hackers.

INTENTIONAL is a word with a meaning. You can't intentionally do something you have no control over. You've created an impossible scenario to make this rule apply, it will be useful when impossible things start happening, but for now it's not.

Telling this guy that killers are required to make sure they're not killing the same survivor in multiple matches isn't going to help him enjoy the game, and it's nonsense. If he gets matched with this killer again, the killer is supposed to try to kill him again. Thanks to your misinformation, he might now feel cheated as well, even though he isn't. The killer is allowed to play the game even if matchmaking repeats itsself. The game is about getting away from killers, not feeling entitled to free escapes because of ridiculous misinterpretations of the rules.

You can refer to the game rules as much as you want, you have to read them all to understand them. INTENTIONAL is an important word.

If this happens repeatedly, then yes. But you would have to collect footage on all instances. Humongous burden of proof. The only times I know this resulted in a ban was when a streamer was targeted, for obvious reasons.

As this happened only once, it's not yet punishable.

uhm. Please reread my first answer as well. I have said that this specific scenario is not against the rules but if someone actually targets a specific person over multiple games it is breaking the rule. You don’t unintentionally target only one survivor out of 4 every match you happen to be matched against them.

this is a very unlikely and rarely occurring scenario of course but if it happens over many matches you can’t say it’s unintentional when it’s explicitly one person being targeted when every other survivor in every of those matches gets ignored.
