A way i would balance boon totems
Boons are actually really over performing in my honest opinion and i will explain why. From the fact that you can re-boon over and over and over again the same totem to the fact that you can use their effect infinite times with no drawback whatsoever. Hex totems are powerful perks that you can have until the totem is broken and you can bring a maximum of 4 since you are one killer. Boons can be always re-ignited and hipotetically you can have 4 boons with 4 perks in each of them for a totel of 16 boon perks so basically you could have 4 safe areas of the map where you are basically invincible.
My idea on how to balance this is not by reducing what boons do in numbers. Instead i would limit the boon time per totem in a match to one per survivor. for example: Claudette boons the totem on top of ironwork of misery, killer snuffs it, claudette is no more able to boon THAT totem for the entire match. But then Meg boons that totem, the killer snuffs it, so both of them can't re-boon that specific totem and so on and so fort.
This method would bring situations where you are not entirely sure if you want to boon that totem at the start of the match, because if the killer goes and snuff it you are not going to use that totem again for boons on your own. ALSO, it would create the situation where more survivors would be in need of bringing boon totem perks so one totem could be re-booned.
I hope that my idea will be liked and that devs think about balancing boons because for now they are really not in control...
