i have an idea?
maybe i think survivors could have instead of 3, 2 hooks.
i know this may sound absurd but i can explain.
im not saying that i think three hooks is survivor sided and BHVR fix nowwwwwww!!!! i just had an idea based on what i see on a lot of matches i play/i see someone playing.
most of the games i see that the killer ends up winning they just hook someone and camped to second state and others the survivor team just f'd up pretty bad and ended up with everyone dying at first hook state (this one is kinda rare since f'ing up this bad is kinda hard), but very rarely i see a killer win hooking every survivor 3 time, which is not kinda bad but also not very good, bc is almost like the killer .. needs to camp or slug? to get some pressure which is kinda not cool.
having 2 hook states would almost discourage camping and would be a nice way to make lower tier killers stand a chance, and if some killers began to feel unfair just rebalance them around it.
of course only that would not be enough to actually discourage camping, but i thought of some other changes that IMO would make playing killer and survivor so much better, check out:
1-You would have 2 hook states, meaning that if you're hooked twice you're out, but if you find yourself in a situation where your team cant save you either because the killer's camping or because... solo queues... you would pass through the 3 hook states as before.
2-DS Buff- since tunneling would be way more critical for the survivors, DS would stay active for 90s after the unhook (maybe even 120s). (doing certain actions would still deactivate DS)
3-Rework Camaraderie/Kinship- if the Killer is within 6 meters of the hook the hook timer is paused until he leaves and if the killer stands still in a radius of 12 meters, the same effect would be applied and would linger for 10 seconds after he started moving (this would make so camping against this perk would be straight up a waste of time)
4-BT Buff- After unhooking someone, the person you unhooked is protected with the Endurance status effect for 20 seconds. If the killer starts a chase with a survivor affected by BT while hes still under its effects the Endurance status effect stays until the killer drops the chase or the survivor gets hit.
5-MoM Buff- Since you wouldn't get hit a lot with this, MoM would now activate after you take 1 normal hit and 1 protection hit (it would still only be reactivated after getting picked up or unhooked)
6-Buckle Up Buff- (this one i think regardless of making those hooks rework or not its necessary cuz god damn buckle up is trash) Buckle Up shows YOUR aura as well (if you're downed) changing the intensity according to your recovery progression bar. And if the killer stands within a radius of 4 meters of you its aura is revealed to all survivors including you.
I think the game would need a lot of changes to balance around the 2 hook states mechanic but i think it would work pretty well, but hey i can be wrong too, if you have any suggestions/opinions or even disagree with anything i said here type a comment here so we can discuss this topic!
