PLS make every killer viable
I dont like to play nurse and blight. But it feels like im forced to learn how to play them beacause other Killers are just to weak. Do something.

Spirit is pretty fun and she’s strong. Why not try her?
1 -
I am way to bad with her. If someone runs iron will i am lost
4 -
All killers are viable. You just need to adapt your strategy and/or get good.
9 -
stick through it; she’s a good killer.
use short bursts against IW gamers
3 -
It just takes practice.
0 -
Nah, that’s the case with some. But, with Pig or Trapper yeah there’s no hope
7 -
Adapt = proxy camp & smart tunneling, we know :D
8 -
There are other good killers like spirit demogorgon Oni pyramid head nemesis pinhead. I have a ton of fun playing demo pyramid head pinhead and nemesis
2 -
Devote yourself to other characters and understand that theyre still viable.
0 -
All killers are viable.
Please make all teammates viable.
IN truth, I just don't understand this argument. Certain powers are inherently more powerful than others. There is no way to make Trapper as powerful as Nurse. They have different powers. And there is nothing wrong with this. Getting a 2k with Trapper should be enjoyed as much as a 4k with Nurse.
1 -
It's different for each killer, but most M1 characters lack any real map pressure since they lack mobility and lethality. You can still win, but it's incredibly more difficult to 4K depending on the map, and how good the opposing side communicates.
4 -
Play Demogorgon. Everyone who doesn't have him will suicide on Hook against you and you will get free kills, you'll probably get reports too but I'm not on PC so I can't prove that
2 -
well, if you don't get the point don't go round and ramble, go somewhere else
5 -
Unpopular opinion, almost every killer IS viable. Not every killer can just get easy 4ks like blight, nurse, or spirit. If you think about how the devs want the game balanced towards 2k 2e, then the game isn't that far off from being balanced.

Lol.
2 -
Pardon me.
I've been here awhile.
I think I've earned the right to speak mine. But thanks for quoting me on your 194th post, it's cute.
2 -
Your one of the best on these fourms
1 -
Thank you!
I enjoy you as well!
1 -
No. Neither Clown, nor Legion, not Ghost Face, nor Nemesis, nor Pinhead, nor many others have the capacity to beat good survivors. Skill only takes you so far with them.
3 -
They're all viable at lower ranks.
1 -
Yes all killers are viable against low mmr survivors but I'd absolutely love to see you play some of the weaker killers against high mmr SWFs.
5 -
Depends on the killer.
Some (Myers, Wraith, Clown, Pig, Trapper and frankly Onryo) are heavily lacking where it counts, meaning that even if you put the time in to master them, you'll have a rough time compared to if you were playing someone good.
You can go and watch high MMR gameplay on these killers - if the map RNG is against you and the survivors are good, sometimes you can play a match out almost perfectly and still lose horribly. A lot of these killers are good at stomping new players (Wraith, Pig and Myers in particular) but fall off fast as your MMR rises.
On the other hand, someone like Nurse, Blight, Artist, Plague and possibly Oni, Spirit and Hag can always do something more.
Eh...Nemesis and Pinhead can at least content tough games. Most killers commonly accepted to be 'B' rank or above usually at least stand a chance.
0 -
Nemesis and pinhead are good killers
0 -
No they don't. You need S tier. This game's S tier killers are like any other game's B tier. That's how bad it is. How little control you have with most killers is astonishing.
2 -
Against bad survivors. They literally have built-in counters. Taking a few seconds to inject a T-Virus cure, or simply holding Pinhead's box, denies those killers their powers.
5 -
Accept as Killer that your best result is a 1K and take it. As a Clown/Ghost Face main, my mission is to lose is the coolest way I can.
1 -
Ego much? But alright.
2 -
If you prac enough with billy or twins, youll change your mind i promise.
Now, for comp ita a whole different issue

The worst part of this post is that you actually got upvotes damm...

Why can't you survivor mains understand that killers are unique, and not the same as survivors ? This comparison doesnt make sense, your point is about your tewmmates having skill, and survivors are just re skins
1 -
When will you people learn that 4ks doesn't dictate anything ?
0 -
Each killer is viable - to a point. Only a handful (well, a couple) of them don't have a viability ceiling in terms of the experience of the opponent team.
There are a handful of players out there with thousands and thousands of hours who can sweat a few more into viability a high levels, sure, but the game shouldn't be balanced around them. If you're still 4King all the time with the Clown, GF, Pig, etc., rest assured you're not really at the top of MMR.
The reality is that for the vast majority of players, you've paid for 27 killers, but if you aspire to play at the highest level (especially now with MMR), you only really have 3-5 options.
It kinda sucks, and is one of the things that keeps me from wanting to push my killer MMR up (but mostly the insufferable sweatiness up there).

I startet to decrese my MMR. I just want to play every killer and thats not possible at the moment
0 -
Sorry, but you obviously know nothing of me. But I always enjoy those that are presumptuous, gives me a chuckle.
Long time killer main, now a 50/50.
My point about the teammates, was facetious, you missed the joke.
My other point was that different powers inherently have different strengths. I don't understand why this is so hard to accept. Nurse is stronger than clown, it's a fact.
If you play clown, you must understand a 4k will likely be harder to achieve than with nurse.
3 -
Actually none of them are viable, Nurse being the only one able to win in tournament.
4 -
And this with perks/items restriction for survivors.
All 5 gens are done within 6 to 8 minutes in a normal trial.
A killer NEEDs at least 10 minutes to be able to get 2k.
Maths are easy here. 10 pallets used with some windows/semi-infinites = 400 seconds, maybe 500 seconds. It is 8 minutes. More than enough to do the 5 gens.
And when the 10 pallets have been used, do not forget that windows are still here, and some pallets are also still here and there.
I do not even understand how the LT loops and the pallet/window jungle gyms still exist. Honestly it is beyond my capability to understand, i might be too dumb or too smart.
A single of this type of "tiles" will make you loose 30 seconds on a non anti-loop killer.
3 -
>Long time killer main
Sure man, your posts is about only defending the survivor side, and making up bullshit like "killers have weapons" like, yeah ? Do you want to kill the killer too ?
2 -
They have to reduce these structures. It makes no sense to give the survivors so much that hinders the killer to play
0 -
Every killer is viable for your average match of dead by daylight, and you aren't going against competitive SWF groups every game. play more killer, choose a main if you want to get really good at one of them, watch a few videos if you want to learn how to improve your macro and micro gameplay, or figure out what builds you should be running. Playing survivor more helps you make more educated predictions as well.
I'm not saying that the game is well balanced, you're going to get good teams on ######### maps while you're running meme builds sometimes, but if every game you're not playing nurse or Blight feels like a monumental struggle I really think you just need more practice.
1 -
That's not even true, what tourneys have you watched that ONLY nurse has ever gotten a 4k??
Like, the last tourney ohtofu hosted ended with the top teams playing twins with a 4k (noed didn't even proc btw), and a twins 3k.
Tourneys also aren't even a good example because they don't even go by kills vs escapes, the scoring is a lot more complicated and does not even translate to a normal match, on top of the perk restrictions as you said.
0 -
how about practice? its like the devs got together and thought "lets make it so this dude can only use like, two killers".
if you want to have more playable killers, play as more killers. its not rocket surgery

Your post now resorts to insults and questioning my experience. As if people don't evolve over time and through other experiences. Please raise your standards for a discussion.
The game is asymmetrical, the attempt to balance this 4 v 1 is by giving killers powers and weapons. Some killer powers are stronger than others. Idk why this is so hard to understand.

Also, I actually think all killers are viable as well. There are definitely people who main trapper, pig, etc in "high mmr" (a term I hate using because no one knows their mmr, but anyways) and still win the majority of their games. If you put enough hours of practice in and try to get good at them/their powers. I think, as someone who mained two low tier killers for a long time before moving to billy/huntress, it really comes down to..... game sense. It's so very important. This is the one thing in the game that you can't teach or learn from watching. You need it on both sides. For killer, when to drop chase, when to mindgame/when to loop (like, if a survivor is just holding w don't continue to mindgame at every loop when chasing), when to proxy or tunnel, zoning with traps, baiting DH's where applicable (ie a dead zone where it can't be used for distance), etc etc etc. This gets you very far and even on rougher maps.
Which leads me to the main issue - maps, not killers, are the biggest problem in the game. I've said many many times in and outside of this forum that if maps are shrunk down more to the size of coal tower and loops/resources added or removed to compensate, there would be no issue for any killer. Almost every issue for lower tier killers that don't have the mobility of nurse/bilght/spirit/billy eventually boils downs to maps and how large they are vs how slow the killer is. I think it's mostly fine for there to be maps that are better for killers and better for survivors still but shrinking the maps will make things more balanced.
Unless you are truly going up against the "genrush god seal team 6 squads" every match, which I really truly doubt, I firmly believe you can win every single match in dbd. A clown is going to have a harder time getting a 4k than a nurse but I mean, you can still 4k.

Just an exemple.
Taking two trials where the killer got lucky doesn't change the statistics made on previous tournaments.
Wwispy tournaments :
Now Swish's tourney : 5 hooks on average, what a joke.
Awesome that both tournaments had the same average number of kills right ?
So we can admit that the kill rate at high MMR is 2.14 ONCE you have applied all the restrictive rules that doesn't exist in the casual play.
Globally the rules go like this :
- unique perk on surv, some perks are banned
- some killer perks are banned aswell
- some maps are not played
- survivor's items are limited (no addons, yellow item most of the time, unique item)
The rules for survivors are way way more restrictive than the rules for killers. And still, Nurse is struggling... But ye, it is not true.
Oh and 4 kills for 5 to 7 hooks = tunneling and camping.
3 -
What everyone forgets is that MMR gets turned off/soft when queue times get too long like everyday during prime time and then every killer gets just randomly matched with the survivor that waited the longest completely ignoring MMR.
But this only makes it worse as even people maining less viable killer should not be matched with high skilled survivor in the first place since they can only really compete up to a certain level.
1 -
What you said originally was this:
"Actually none of them are viable, Nurse being the only one able to win in tournament."
You said nothing about hook stages. I said nothing about tunneling/camping either.
Then you go on to show matches that show 4k's with:
Huntress, Oni 4k 3x, Wraith x2, Deathslinger x2, Pinhead x2, Twins x4, Spirit, Blight x3.
Which, directly contradicts your original post in that the only killer that has the ability to 4k in a tournament setting.
It's also worthy to note that wispy's tournament that you posted stats on did NOT have the restrictions on perks, items as swish's tourney did.
Again, tourney's _arent even a good example_ - they have their own rules, their own scores and doesn't even matter in public matches and a win in a tournament match does not directly correlate to what a win would be in a public match (which, by the way, there is still no official win condition with the exception of what calculates mmr). You don't have to 4k or focus that hard on hook stages to win a match in a tourney if the team you are going against has little/no way to win. You also _are not_ going against tournament players in pub matches. They don't practice in pub matches, they scrim.

Trapper is fine. I don't really play Pig, so couldn't comment.

Huntress : 3k, 1k, 4k, 1k,1k - average hooks = 3.5 - IS IT VIABLE ?
Oni : 1k, 2k, 0k, 4k, 4k, 4k - average hooks = 6 - IS IT VIABLE ?
Wraith : 4k, 0k, 1k, 1k - average hooks = 5 - IS IT VIABLE ?
DS : 4k, 4k, 2k, 1k, 2k - average hooks = 5 - IS IT VIABLE ?
Pinhead : 1k, 4k, 4k, 1k, 2k - average hooks = 6,5 - IS IT VIABLE ?
Twins : 4k, 4k, 4k, 4k, 1k - average hooks = 5,4 - IS IT VIABLE ?
Spirit : 1k, 1k, 1k, 4k, 0k, 4k - average hooks = 5 - IS IT VIABLE ?
Blight : 4k, 2k, 4k, 4k, 0k, 3k, 4k, 4k, 0k, 1k - average hooks = 4 - IS IT VIABLE ?
All killers have had to camp and tunnel to get those results. All SWF had HUGE restriction regarding perks and items.
Most killers beside Blight and DS got more loss than wins. Most killers are tier A killers.
So tier A killers cannot compete at high level when survivors cannot multiplicate the use of DH, DS, BT.
Okay for the non restriction on the first tournament. Now remove the Blight results. What is the kill rate ?
Your conclusion : the usual matchmaking without any restriction on perks/items is balanced and killers are viable.
3 -
My conclusion, which I said twice already, is that these stats don't matter because a tourney is not a pub match and tourney's are played out differently. This is a thread about viability in public matches. You know, with normal players. Anyways, I'm done here, good day.

Disagree.
Some killer like Clown, Myers, Legion and maybe Trapper aren't really viable against everyone.
