5th hook to scourges
I think we can all agree that hook distribution is an issue as of right now. But that's a whole other topic.
What is also an issue is the fact that scourge hooks, on top of the hook distribution issue, aren't really spread out evenly across the map. There are times where all your hooks are just on 1 side of the map. You can say just run Agitation, but why should I have to waste an extra perk slot on the off chance the spread is horrible>
So let me explain another big reason why I think there should be 5 scourge hooks. Scourges are supposed to be the killer version of a boon. You can stack perks on a totem (survivor), and you can stack perks on a hook (killer).
There are 5 totems, so 5 chances to use boons. I get there is more hooks, but there has to be. So that's not really an argument. survivors can break totems and render their boon useless, but killers can also kill survivors and render their scourge useless. It's also not a big deal to just have an extra scourge. Really, all it does is ensure you don't have to waste even more perk slots to get to the hook, and that's if you even make it with agitation and iron grasp. It really wouldn't even be OP or affect the flow of the game even that much. It's more just a QOL change.
I also wanna make it clear that I think scourges should never ever go over 5. That's when it will start getting out of hand and just be unnecessary.
I'd love to hear some thoughts on this suggestion and any counter arguments.
Thanks alot, peace out
Gandy

Or they could just fix the scourge hook placements and make it so they are not all on one side of the map. I think four scourged hooks evenly distrubuted is a better fix then adding five with more scourged hooking undoubtably being added they are going to get to a tipping point of being op. I am not a fan of saying they are op now cause even with PR its unlikely depending on the killer it will really effect me and when DMS comes into play you just know to let go before the person is hooked and you have completely countered the play.

There should definitely never be more than 5, ever. But I agree. They should evenly spread them out, or just add another.

Nah. It's a mini Boon bonus.
Highly contextual - intended to be both difficult and stringent.
It's 4 hooks so that if you kill all 3 survivors on scourge hooks, you still have 1 for the final boi.
That being said. 15% regression on a hook is not supposed to be easy or free. I'm more than fine with the hooks being in odd places.
I'd rather the direction go for higher potency than greater volume.
If the extremes are 'Completely regress a generator to nothing if you can get a survivor to the ONE hook' or 'Hooking a survivor causes a little 3% bump on the generator that's so small it goes 'eep' and doesn't even explode'... I'll take the former.
Keep the effects big and the hook pool small, thank you.

4 scourge hooks is fine, they just need to fix the distribution of them. There should not be 4 scourge hooks on one side of the map and none on the other side.

It is mostly fine. I wish they would just fix the distribution. If they wanted to do something like hook closest to the totems.
I kinda like agitation. It is one of those perks that isn’t the best, but I usually seem to get value out of. (And I just hate the whole Boil Over/flip flop/unbreakable thing. I don’t know why, but it just does.

All they really should look into is hook distribution. Some maps it's child's play to get to a scourage. Other maps, the hooks will be in Narnia (Another reason why Backwater Swamp is made for suffering in general)
