The Residence house lighting change

While I feel like the lighting sets the right mood for the house, I have a very hard time seeing in it as both survivor and killer. It's exceedingly dark and I have a much harder time chasing a survivor in the house than any other tile in any other map. When I'm working on a gen with another survivor, I tend to lose them if they crouch into a dark corner.
It's weird how much it feels like the Haddonfield houses when they first came out, but even those were better than how Rin's house currently is for me.
Keep in mind I play with a bright tv in a very dimly lit room, so it isn't the lighting in the room I'm in that's the problem.
