No. There’s a perk for that. Really, multiple.

All they need to do is get rid of great skill checks on wiggle.

The base time of 16 seconds is perfectly fine. Doesn't need a buff or a nerf.

There's only 1 perk that directly increases the time to wiggle out. Iron Grasp.

Agitation and Starstruck do not increase the wiggle timer by any means, but Starstruck can keep survivors from body blocking (or give you a free down if they do) and Agitation helps you reach farther hooks.

Mad Grit technically doesn't increase the wiggle timer, but pausing the duration upon hitting another survivor does kind of do the same thing.

Yeah, which is why I worded my comment the way I did. The others don’t directly increase the timer, but help counter wiggling nonetheless.

    Yeah, my thoughts exactly.

Why? They should remove great skillchecks but that's about it.

I'd absolutely be down for a 10-12% increase in wiggle time, but only if survivors gained a flat 1% total progress (0.17 seconds)

Such an increase in wiggle time would be balanced if the wiggle mechanic became more dynamic:

A survivor can hit a skill check every 0.72 seconds or so (ballpark)

meaning, with a change such as this, they can reduce their wiggle timer by 1 second over 4 seconds if they hit every check. Which means, if a survivor is flawless in their skill checks, they can reduce their timer by 3 seconds after 12 seconds of wiggling.

While the wiggle bar may increase to 17, survivors capable of hitting each skill check can wiggle out in 13.5 seconds or so.

Yes, survivors can wiggle out MUCH faster, 2.5 seconds faster if they use the skill checks. But increasing the wiggle timer to 17-18 seconds by default would make the change totally worth it.

It would make hooking less of a bore and a lot more engaging, especially when you have to make a risky play for a scourge hook or work around body blocking.

Even if you hit every great skill check with the beta system - that's a flat 1s off the initial time of 16s.

Apologies for lacking clarity in my original wording, Mandy.

I was meaning to suggest such a change, not at all imply that this was the current system.
