Issues in the Plethora Range.
Greetings... I wanted to send this to bhvr itself but it apparently lacks a viable 'contact us' portion.
So! here's a big issue... your game is CLEARLY dying. A large majority of it being revolved around tunneling and your extremely killer sided MMR (yes it is quite killer sided and it has to do with the end game balancing.... It's quite obvious... but weird that you would think people who play both can't notice patterns?) for example: I love how when I get wrecked as a killer... my very next games survivors are incompetent enough to barely get 2 gens done by the time they all go up. Yet when I play survivor... it's trash tunneler after trash tunneler after trash tunneler with a camper thrown in the mix and then an afker where due to all 4 escaping, we're thrown back against the try hard tunnelers yet again.
A group of friends and I have deliberated on things that would fix the tunneling issue... the most common idea being that Borrowed Time and Decisive become basic perks everyone has ontop of the 4 you get to choose from... to the far extreme of penalty for the killer. (Let's be honest here... -9pts a second isn't enough to deter a brain dead moron from camping the hook when they end up with 26k doing exactly that. Like seriously add a 0 to it already...) Honestly if matches were as moderated as the discord server... this game would actually be amazing again.
Said circle of friends, actually enjoyed the game on the 2nd day of MMR testing. It was a healthy balance of getting wrecked, all 4 escaping... and some escaping. We played from 4pm until 3am. When we got wrecked it wasn't even a horrible getting wrecked style. It was legit fun. But since it was survivor sided MMR, it didn't take long to throw it back to killer sided MMR where the game became much less fun, much quicker in an almost predictable manner. Killer style has become so predictable that as a survivor you can actually manipulate the MMR to your advantage which is sad that you even have to. If you DC on the load screen, you don't receive a penalty. If someone brings streamers, event cake, or a mori... you just DC on load to by pass it and wait for the one that doesn't play some juiced offering, and the odds of having a better game are significantly improved... Why? because people who bring those are 99% guaranteed and predictable to camp or tunnel. (Nothing screams stupidity like bringing a mori and camping the hook to try and use it. Literally absolutely nothing speaks as much volumes to level of stupidity as that and what's worse is it's actually predictable enough that your best choice is to DC before the match starts to avoid the DC penalty as odds of them being a farmer for the bp's are actually quite slim when they shouldn't be tbh. If all 4 survivors bring streamers... that shouldn't queue the killer to play greasy but to actually be grateful and maybe ya know... farm so everyone gets some good bp's from it?! Cause let's be real... this game is predominantly about blood point gains... and as a killer you can have all 4 escape and still get more points than if survivors play perfectly and have no heals/hooks to get. (Yes, I can have all 4 escape and get 28k points as a killer, yet on survivor maybe get 17k with no hooks or heals to do... like where's the not been caught bonus?!?!?!? oh!!! that's right... it's killer sided how in the world could I forget?)
The sadness for this game is, to ensure the most fun you can have you literally have to play customs and police the killer out of camping/tunneling. Where even though no one is getting blood points... pretty much everyone is having the same level of fun. This is the level of fun one should expect in public matches... and the sad part is, literally everyone does which is a problem. I've watched many streamers playing this game cause ya know what's more idiotic than camping to mori? playing like an utter douche, and promoting your twitch with your username... Anyway, due to this I have watched several killers who predominantly tunnel, and they actually find the game boring when they can't find people... This is why killer should require more skill than just controlling what happens in the match via going back to the hook. It's hilarious watching a tunneler go back to the hook and lose everybody then spend 2 gens trying to find someone, and it's clear as day. They tunnel because they can't actually hunt which is completely obvious.
I mean I get why the game switched to killer sided... it's meant to balance the end gamer survivors, which at the same time, makes earlier gamers... much much worse. It's essentially a predicament of either a) become a god looper, or b) uninstall and move on. Which it honestly shouldn't be. The killers should be more skilled to get better to combat the end game survivors. Everything meant to make surviving harder for a god looper, is what veers people away from the game that aren't there yet. To this day, I have yet to go up against a pig that didn't tunnel the trap... Like honey, why bring make your choice to legit just use on the last hook? That's not a smart strategy... at all. So to try and bring balance, you release killers and perks that make survivor just that much harder. IE: Pinhead with his automatic gen pressure, where you pretty much need communication as a survivor to not be wasting time. Either no one goes for the box, or everyone does as there's no way to commune to people who you aren't partied with if you are going for the box or not. Which is automatic gen pressure meant to make end game survivor more difficult, but utterly trashes newer players. Pinhead is the exact time my friends list began dropping the game and finding others. Which I wish I did join them. I didn't uninstall until Dec and then recently picked it back up last month cause I couldn't find another game to spend a good 12 hours in daily... But I definitely want to uninstall cause this game has died out on my friends list. Where it used to be a good 10/20 people in dbd at any time, it's now maybe... 1/30. Which speaks volumes to your oversight in development. You've made survivor difficult enough that not many people want to play for more than 1 or 2 games a day. Said people prefer survivor because they find killer vastly easier.
This brings us to the famed argument. "It's a 4v1 bruh!" Why yes, captain obvious, it most certainly is. But there's 1 large difference. 1/4 of those people can turn the tide of the match entirely. Thus killer is much easier. You don't have to rely on 3 others doing their part to succeed as a killer. You just have to hope that 1 of the 4 is bad enough to turn the tide in your favour and make it an obvious hatch match. Which will happen more times than not with random teammates (as previously noted because the game is dying you can't keep friends in the match so have to rely on complete strangers you can't communicate with and HOPE above all else that they aren't trying to throw you to the wolves, do dumb things... actually get on a gen... don't hook farm... the list goes on... really... some you get are just complete trolls to troll. This turns most matches into hatch games where your only goal is to remain stealthy enough to avoid the killer who's literally tunneling and camping baddies... so that you can hope for a hatch escape, or that the gates are far enough apart that you can get a gate open after you prestart it and watch the killer patrol back and forth between the switches looking at the lights... or worse... that the killer doesn't just slug you and go searchin' for the hatch - which you can't dc away from cause of penalty, and you can't ######### cause... I unno why actually... so your best bet is literally just to sit there and wait 4 minutes... because what... oh right... yeah this game is sooooo survivor sided right? I'm fairly certain killer mains say that because MMR actually works for them... They get a 4k they go up against a competant team, maybe get 1...
Unfortunately this game is now at a point where it needs a large enough overhaul to bring back the players it's lost/to compete with the other formats of this game style that actually do it better and make both sides funner/less toxic. It used to be a great game that I loved. I mean I bought an xbox just to play this game back in july and have wracked up 100 days play time. So it definitely used to be a great favoured game... but sadly I'm on the fence and about ready to find a better game if the above issues do not get resolved in the near future. That's not a threat, or an ultimatum... Personally for me, the survivor balance deadline is hogwarts legacy. It's gonna be hard to care about this speck of dust when I become a full time wizard.
But anyway... please wake up bhvr. Fix your broken game or lose more people :/
PS: I know the killer mains are gonna whine about survivor sided and junk like that... (but I know that since MMR is in your favour you have a healthy balance of winning and losing vs. always losing due to incompetence and skewed design in killer favour but keep tellin' yourself that bae. If it wasn't true dbd wouldn't be dying)
Annnnnyway, I challenge you to sing that song after you lay down your killer ways and play survivor for a month. Let's see how long it takes before your song changes to the truth ;).
Edited to add: I can't believe I forgot to put in other aspects.
I honestly get why survivor is harder... because surviving isn't easy. But at the same time... when you synergize and run every perk in order to attain something but can't - it speaks literal volumes to the balancing of the game. Even after boil overs buff, it is still next to impossible to wiggle free without agitation and iron grasp interference due to the over abundance of hooks. (Enough so that if you bring flip flop, boil over, 4 oaks to spread hooks apart more, you STILL can't wiggle free starting with 45% wiggle progress. The fact that you would need someone to run break out following the killer to wiggle out is pure insanity. Not to mention the high risk of saboing a hook to try and save a person from being hooked is EASILY countered by the killer just dropping the person and waiting for the hook to come back. It's a high risk for a VERY minuscule reward that actually flips the ideology to being pointless. I have been confused for quite some time as to why on earth wiggling is even an option when more times than not it does nothing to help. This contributes to the game being killer sided.I can't tell you how many times I have had my wiggle hit 100% and been hooked anyway. It should literally force a drop if you're that close to a hook and that close to wiggling off to combat the hit validation that killers seem to get with their texas sized lunges.

Because I'm a masochist, I semi read everything in this post.
And I still don't know what you want. It would be easier just to message you directly somehow. I can deduce tho, you just hate camping and tunnelling.
Even after boil overs buff, it is still next to impossible to wiggle free without agitation and iron grasp
Were you playing the same game? Cause boil over created a "I must slug to actually have a chance" for the killer.

While you are very much correct that killer MMR is far more volatile purely on how the scoring system works.
Survivors gain +1 or -1 in their matches, but killers have a lot of variables of +/- based on each chase. Killers that get 2k net 0, while killers that get 4k will get +4 and losing with a 4e is a -4.
There's a lot going on behind the scenes, but because survivors are scored based on the game being a 1v1 and killers are rated on 4 separate 1v1 situations.
But seriously,
My Brother in Christ - after 1,400 hours playing both sides, I cannot disagree MORE with literally everything else that you've said.

by trying to disagree with me you overlooked a factual statement in my initial assessment which I will reiterate for you now.
The games developement is stalled in trying to make end game killers against end game survivors more difficult - which has resulted in making early game much more difficult as people don't have your type of skill at killer and thus it's easier to ensure 4ks by tunneling a hook and not even kicking gens for gen pressure now. New survivors seem to think gens are magically going to finish without them on it - while they try to fritz with the killer. I believe I stated this is in my opening paragraph as to being the imbalancing issue they have for survivor vs. killer. Which for you at end game it is survivor sided but for those survivors not at end game tier? we deal with your killers cheap tactics meant to squash gen pressure on people who are'nt even gen rushing. It's created this era where to progress you are mainly focused on doing challenges unless you're god tier looper... which isn't fun for new players (how on earth did you over look this?) to which you clearly agree with the statement of "you need to be a god tier looper or uninstall" in this current newbs age of playing the game. Due to killers released meant to make end game tier loopers/killers...
anyway, I challenge you to reread my intial post from off your pedastol and think of it as someone who's recently picked up the game what it's like... cause everything in my post was agreed to by my circle of friends who have recently uninstalled this game, in the process of moving to other games and otherwise just utterly fed up with the tunneling issue early game killers result to.
(seriously bro you're trying to convince me that I don't see a killer proxy camping a hook with kindred... not even looking for other people just in eye sight of the hook waiting for the unhook to go back to. but sure okay, this is obviously best strategy as killer yeah?? lololololololllllllllllllll)
anyway I must get ready for work... if you don't understand my post enough to grasp the fact that you tried to disagree but actually agreed with what I stated.... then you need to get out from under that bridge you're trollin' from and bugger off.

1st off, the game isn't dying. Since you are crying wolf right at the beginning of your post, the rest of your post is too long and not worth reading because I just can't trust it being accurate.

What is camping? What is tunneling? I'm pretty sure you have a very flexible definition of both depending upon whether or not you're losing.

I agree with your assessment that the MMR system is much more volatile for killers.
I absolutely and fundamentally disagree with just about every other conclusion you've arrived at.
I do not mean to be rude, but the opinions of your personal friends or you getting ready for work does not at all effect my opinion nor its validity. If you post something in a forum, people can and will disagree with the conclusions that you arrive at. It's just a part of the experience.
