Freddy Rework
I've been playing Freddy a little bit and he simply isn't fun. I think the sleep mechanic is trash and unfun. It isn't rewarding at all because it is just on a timer unlike Ghost Face or Myers where you have to work to get your buffs in someway. I've been thinking of a rework of him and I just want some input on it.
Mainly what I want to change is his sleep mechanic. I think that it should be based off of events and not on a timer. I think survivors should start to fall asleep after doing boring things like repairing a generator, opening a chest, hiding in a locker, or simply walking for a long time. When ever doing these actions, a bar will fill up showing your progress on falling asleep. Obviously once it's full you fall asleep. To counter act this, survivors would have to find caffeine pills to stay awake and regress the bar. I think this would make Freddy more interesting because survivors will have to move around and would make his ability to teleport to generators more and less effective. It would push people of gens so they don't fall asleep, but he still has the map control he has. Also getting hit by Freddy would still send you to sleep.
Some other little things is if he is chasing a survivor in a dream, he should be able to vault everything very quick and be faster in general. Currently, I think there isn't even a reason to be scared of going into the dream world as a survivor because all you have to worry about is snares and pallets. Also with falling asleep being on a timer, it is inevitable so you just have to deal with it.
