dbd really should get new mechanics
playing dbd these days feels very weird and its getting to a point that is somewhat annoying to play
not just as killer, but as survivor as well
as killer you have to apply so much pressure and sometimes is not even possible, so most of the times they will just resort to camping, tunneling and or slugging, which are not very fun
and as survivor, since playing killer requires a tone of strats, techs, pressure n sh*, most of them will just camp first hook and f* it, if you unhook the person who's getting camped they will just tunnel and slug them until ds is gone.
ppl always say survivors need side objectives but i don't think BHVR really got the idea, like, boons? bro the advantages they give make so the time they spent blessing the totem feel like nothing.
they should add some REAL side objective like glyphs and other things to like "convince" the entity to let them leave or something like that, gen parts spread around the map, dull totems giving some reward if you break them, something that you would have to build and take a very long time to do so, but that would somehow debuff the killer, making basement a place where you have to get something, but getting some kind of debuff or something like that, giving the basement that creepy vibe that it should have
like, there's so much things they could do, that would make the game better, the hard thing would be to balance the game in a way that wouldn't cuck new players, which is probably one of the reasons they hesitate so much to release new sh* to the game, and which is totally fair you know, i just think that they should add anything to make the game more dynamic than holding m1 and getting facecamped
