Freddy unable to snare exit gates

So typically if a survivor or survivors reach end game i would snare the switch panel and if they are in the dreamstate this is a 100% guaranteed down and or hook or kill. Now however the exit gates panel is no longer able to be snared...
I dont know if this is a hidden nerf Freddy received recently or if its a bug but please look into this issue dev's. Its bad enough Freddy got nerfed overtime but he shouldnt be "this" nerfed (if its not a bug) and while Hag and Trapper can trap up exit gates. Please look into this!

I'm looking in the Dbd wiki, and theoretically you should be able to put dream snared wherever you want.
