8-Bit Killer Skins - Easy, effective!
Michael Myers - Atari 2600
Leatherface - Atari 2600
Freddy Krueger - NES
I understand licensing hurdles, but if these could be created it would be a win/win for the license holders, devs, and the players.
My proposed skins would require minimal effort to create - they are just recolorations. They could be released individually, or as a "Retro Skin Pack" (at a slight discount). Take my money!
Note: Bubba is green or blue on the Atari 2600, depending on what level you are on. Make both!

Go even a step further and make the killer look like they are 8 but Pixel style just in 3d

It's also worth mentioning that this was successfully accomplished in Friday the 13th: The Game - giving Jason his glorious NES colors :)
