Bots confirmed in custom games....But...
As happy as I am for bots being officially confirmed for custom games, the mobile version still one ups the PC version just much more solely because there's NO progression. Its a good start, but we really need like a proper VS AI mode where you can get partial progression or full progress (just no ranks or pips in this case) and it would be just much more successful. You had a crossover with For Honor, BHVR....So why can't you follow their example for bots and just freaking give us progression as well? I don't care for the ranked progression but please let us complete and earn stuff at least. This would encourage incentive for new players and the old.

Even just something like a slower rate of progression for bot matches would be fine, imo.
It's a lot better than nothing to have bot matches at all, however.

It's certainly better than nothing, but really? Zero bloodpoints? Even if you bring perks or offerings that give BP? Like, I get the "no xp, no shards" thing, I GUESS, but not even 1/2 BP?
And, I assume, bot games won't let you finish Tome Challenges or Daily Rituals either? Super disappointing.

I think it makes sense that you won't be able to do challenges or achievements while you're in a custom game, but I would like to see some bloodpoints and XP. Maybe at a reduced rate, like 50%? That seems fair to me.

Yeah don't get me wrong I am super happy we're finally getting bots. Its just...Not quite enough. Then again, apparently we're getting a new tutorial as well. Maybe that might be the actual vs bot mode perhaps?

In a custom game, absolutely. But I feel like we do need a official unranked mode that can put you with human survivors if you play as survivor against a random AI killer with random perks who plays tough. While also being a killer against AI survivors with random perks. A mode like that should provide BP, XP and challenge/rift completion. With the supposed 'new tutorial' that was mentioned we can hope.

Bear in mind, they said the bots are only being added to custom games so in a way it makes sense. Doesn't change how disappointing it is though. We NEED a official VS AI mode that's unranked and doesn't give you the choice of what AI you go up against. Like a real match.

It'd be nice if the "bots in custom games" announcement was followed with "and we're looking at bots alternate game mode" or something, but given the pace of these things, something like that would probably be 6 more years down the line.
I WILL SAY: I am still pleased by any kind of bot modes being added to the game. They just straight-up lied when they said the killer-specific mmr scores would be in place so that you could try out a new killer and not get stomped. Bots games lets you do that very thing, so I'm going to look at this announcement as finally honoring that original sentiment.
