Twins are absolutely abysmal to play

Bravo devs on selecting the twins as the killer for this tome, because it perfectly showcases how little you actually care about the Binding of Kin chapter ever since its release. Playing twins is essentially venturing into the territory of masochism. They're clunky. They're buggy. You get crushed even though you've just regained control of Victor, it's horrendous. And you honestly expect us to play them like this? Shame on you.

That killer was probably the biggest mess you've ever coded for this game and it's quite evident that you'd rather forget they even exist. You know they suck aside from the two twins mains there apparently are, the stats you released a few months showed that quite clearly.

And wanna know what else shows it quite clearly? In every single tome we've had so far, during the time that a specific level was open and had a challenge or two that required you to play as a specific killer, I would see that killer in trials. I have not seen a single twin in the 25 days this rift has been open so far. Not a single one. That should tell you everything.

I hear that twins are next in the pipeline for an update? Congrats on missing the chance to fix them before their own tome. You really don't care about them.

I'm seriously disappointed. If not for Elodie, I'd deeply regret ever buying that chapter back when it released.

I know this isn't very constructive feedback, aside from voicing serious disappointment about a glaring lack of passion when it comes to the twins. But maybe it could provide an incentive: I don't intend to ever touch the twins again as soon as I have done their challenges. But fix the twins and people like myself might start choosing them again, because the idea of controlling two characters is a cool and interesting one, it's just very poorly executed at the moment. I'd love for them to be a killer worth choosing over another, I do wish that chapter success.

You should watch Lynxi on Twitch and check out some of her insane Victor snipes.

Most matches I play agains't twins end up her slugging everyone so yeah I don't think she is that bad to play. Nobody can avoid victor you are quaranteed to hit with him.

This is why I find it funny how once I show I have the power struggle loadout on I get ignored by twins.

I specifically mentioned "aside from the two twins mains there apparently are". I'm well aware the two prominent mains do quite well with them, but that is so not the point here. For the average killer player and non-main, they are a venture into masochism.

I've done the rifts and some matches were heavy on slugging. I won them all too.

Yet it wasn't very enjoyable. It's not about winning. I don't like being on either side of the Twins. I find both sides equally annoying and frustrating. I doubt I would play them if it wasn't for a rift or a daily.

(I have no idea of how to make them better though)

For the "average" killer player and non killer main, so are a lot of the killers. This is just an admission that Twins are hard to learn, you don't want to have to learn.

I don't having to learn, I remember spending a few weeks mastering oni, despite it having been quite painful. But twins are on a completely unreasonable level. It feels so bad to play them, I'd argue baby twins is the far worse experience than baby nurse. There's a reason twins have the lowest pick-rate. And still compared to baby nurse, you get less out of mastering twins than mastering nurse.

    I can agree to that.

Getting better with Nurse's Blinks makes you feel like a badass.

Getting better with Victor's pounce is like playing fetch with a dog that just drops the stick/toy after they catch it and stands there staring at you.

That’s a bit like saying Nurse is bad because average players are terrible with her and if you don’t play Nurse much and try to play her for challenges you will probably get wrecked. Obviously though Nurse is one of the top killers among people who actually play her regularly. The same goes for Blight to some extent, his Rushes can be tricky to land unless you play him regularly so people who just play him now and then for a mission don’t do as well.

I’m not saying Twins are as good as Nurse obviously, I’m saying the logic in the original post above is flawed. Twins being hard to win with for people who don’t play them often does not imply they are bad for regular Twins players playing against similarly skilled survivors.

Twins are clunky because there is a 2 second "stun similar to Nurse" when you switch between them.

My suggest for fixing them to remove that awful clunkiness is change that 2 second "stun" into a 2 second delay when switching Twins. What I mean by this, is that when you hit the ability button, you continue using the current twin for 2 seconds then automatically switch to the other Twin after 2 seconds. Remove the stun, remove the visioning dimming affect. That will make the Twins much more fun to play and keeps the 2 second delay in there for balancing reasons.

It's even better than that. With your suggested change, some additional mind-games are possible.

Twins are out about year and half and they kinda receive a massive nerf to basekit and add ons and got small buffs on other add ons. Now let’s talk about their PTB. People back in time loved the PTB and enjoyed such a unique idea. Overall streamers said it’s most fun killer to play. However back in time the Twins were too counterable and they recieved a buff to being able to lock survivors in lockers and get slowed down less when charging pounce. However on their release there were very unfun bugs and Twins were released unfinished. Later they got animation to lock survivors in lockers and finally survivors were not able to insta leave when downing with Victor on their head. So yet quite late they got they tools they needed to not be too much counterable. But mmr came in, boons came in and Twins recieved a huge nerf to their cooldowns that it was insanely unfun to wait to do anything. Which was always problem with Twins. Because release Victor takes some time, catch survivor takes some time, eat 5s cooldown takes some time and then switch back takes some time and finally you still need to go there with Charlotte to pick up and Break pallets. So overall Twins are constantly loosing time other killers can use to chase, damage… Devs treated Twins bad. Instead of nerfing missed pounces they nerfed successfull pounces so you are punished to play Twins. Spamming is probably more skillfull. The changes to add ons are also joke. Instead of add on pass they nerf the most used add ons to force survivors to run other add ons. But the problem is that 2/3 of their add ons are just bad. 0.4s less cooldown to pounce (i believe it’s nerfed to 0.3) just makes spamming pounces more rewarding than playing well. Baby teeth… blindness is just awfull status and yet you need to crush Victor first to have it. Iridescent pendant also is not very good. Shriek radius… again bad. 0.2s longer kick. Again kicking takes 0.5s so survivor still have 4,5s to come and kick. So the good or usefull add ons are still speed onces, toy sword and silencing cloth. Would say cat’s eye are something interesting. But other than that their add ons are so bad. Used to play Twins quite a lot back in time and admit they are insanely strong when played well but why nerfing them? Isn’t nurse much stronger? Yes not nerfed though. Is Blight stronger? Yes not nerfed though. All those things make me feel that they really don’t know what to do with them and stats say that Twins are absolutely least played killer with massive gap from each other. Talked too much now want to say what might make them better.

    1) Switch positions between W/Ch.

    2) Lower cooldown on succsesfull hits to 3s and do missed once a 4s - that gives survivor some time to run away and get into better areas. Or kick Victor.

    3) Give Charlotte 5 % movement speed for respawn duration and makes it 12s instead of 6. That reduces Victor spamming and give Charlotte some tool to not only be base move m1 killer.

    4) Change transition from 3s to 1s and bring back instaweak up on successfull pounces.

    5) Bring back bodyblocking with Charlotte so she looses collisions with survivor only in 20m around hooked survivors. That prevents from blocking paths yet gives them advantage in chase.

    5) Rework these 2/3 add ons.

As I mentioned those changes are making Twins more fun to play and at the same time gives survivor more option to strike back. Twins players should not be punished to play them and survivors should not be having too much control of them however might have more option to punish bad plays

thanks for reading this loooong paragraph.
