Haddonfield Fence. Can't pick up

Tonight a survivor burned a Haddonfield offering with a full "you can't slug me" build, including no mither, unbreakable, soul guard. He went down very quickly after just standing in the same spot after a very short chase. I go to pick him up and his body had slightly clipped into one of the fences.
I walk away and allow him to pick himself up, and when I walk back over to him he is clearly trying his hardest to push his body up against the fence for the same thing to happen. Sure enough he went down and I could not pick him up. He's obviously heard about this and wanted to exploit it.
