Legion's Bleedout Mechanic encourages Bad Killer Play

The most viable strategy I've come up with that has won me my games as Legion is to do the following:

  1. Deep Wound a survivor
  2. Land a 2nd hit on them
  3. Purposely lose chase during power cooldown
  4. Moonwalk in their general direction and pick up their trail following scratch marks / blood

The Survivor will either run from you or try to heal up, bleeding out or letting you catch up.

The question here is, why should the killer have to moonwalk to force their bleed to take effect? They're penalized for finding the Survivor again after landing two hits because the timer freezes, and rewarded if they lose track of them since the timer only ticks outside of a chase. Seems a little backwards, doesn't it?

The way it should work is that after the 2nd hit on a Deep Wounded Survivor during Frenzy, the Survivor's bleed out timer should begin ticking immediately. That still leaves a good 10-15 seconds where the Survivor can lose Legion and heal up, but doesn't penalize Legion for staring in their general direction and starting a new chase if he picks up their trail.

I stopped using SB because I want to incentivize survivors to heal up, the worse counter for him is survivors just staying injured and doing gens, those were the games that I lost hard.

To be fair that's the worst counter for every killer.

But at least then it's only 1 hit to KO them. Also bring thanatophobia. They either heal or they lose 15% action speed on everything.

Not healing up against freddy/wraith/myers or any ambush killer is asking for trouble so no, I can't agree on this.

But go watch some of truetalents recent videos. When he faces top class survivors a lot of them don't bother healing up no matter which killer he picks because they don't want to waste time healing, that's why he stopped taking sloppy butcher.

Which gets me back to the point: his power is pointless because the meta is gonna shift heavily towards not healing up against killers like him. Freddy wastes more time by putting you into dreamworld than this guy.

And the biggest difference is that these killers have 115% ms and often face the same targets that Legion faces (injured survivors) so what's the point of playing him at high ranks?

What's the point in playing half of the killers in the game at high ranks?

Dev's said in stream, you want high rank play go with Billy or nurse. This killer is just "fun".

m8 I don't think that's how legion is played, there is a reason y when u frenzy a survivor then notifications of the other survivors pop up, legion is not a chasing killer, its a slowing down mechanic, when u frenzy a survivor they are put in the injured state and the deep wound is inflicted, they run and u go after another survivor, u stab them the run and the frenzy replenishes each time u hit a survivor without deep wound, he's like a better doctor except he can't chase for ######### so.

seems like mend either needs to take longer or they need to change something else up, cause 16s really isn't gonna slow much of anything.
