What happens to Dying Light if Obsession shift to a living one?

After you killed the obsession, dying light activate the action speed penalty. If the obsession shift to a living one from say decisive strike, is dying light still keep the penalty or I have to kill the obsession again?

Dying light works only when obsession is alive

Dying Light's effect is only active while the obsession is alive so when the obsession switches to a new player the effect comes back.
