Generators shouldn't stop regressing just by survivors tapping on them.
It should take them a few seconds at least.
It makes no sense that the killer takes 2 or 3 seconds to damage them and 0.1 seconds for the survivor to repair ir back...

Completely right.

A 3s animation to stop the regression should fix gen tapping

I would make it so that the regression only stops once they make a good skill check.

I've seen (and I've done when I'm a survivor) that when you're in a chase, you can literally stop, just tap the gen, and continue running with no downside, and the gen is not "fixed" and will stop regressing.
The fact that it can be done while in a chase in such a short time feels definitely like a bug.

yeah, that would work great tbh

.... if a skillcheck was immediately triggered after getting on the gen that might be an option. Given that skill checks sometimes take well over 30 seconds to pop up.

I mean, no? Then it is just 'can you hit a skill check while moving'. The point would be that stopping a regressing generator should require time and effort, not just a quick touch.

They'd have to design it to be one of the constant ones like Merciless Storm, that way if you leave the generator during, it fails and keeps regressing.

I'm not sure we're on the same page when it comes to what "having a skillcheck" means. If it's a regular skillcheck or something like doctors snap-out skillcheck I don't really care. You have to hit it while your hands are on the gen. That's what I mean when I say "have a skillcheck triggered immediately".
