Sound Settings - Chase Music

Hey, just a suggestion - it would be great to have an option to adjust the volume of killer chase music (survivor side). The ghostface music is really really painful in chase - I personally have hearing issues and have to turn the game up to hear footsteps, etc. but the chase music blows out my eardrums. Just a thought.

The chase theme is SUPPOSED to mask those sounds.

This is an accessibility issue @Emeal. I am losing my hearing and have to turn the game volume up in order to play - I have zero issue with chase music "drowning out" external noise, I realize it is supposed to do that. But it would be nice to have the option to reduce volume during chase just for the chase music feature, while still "deafening" external sounds. With hearing loss concerns, having the music blast just to "deafen" in chase is damaging for those of us who are dealing with hearing concerns.

Sure @ceecee but then everyone would remove the music and have clear hearing of the Survivor as all times.

I prefer this Game to have the same options as the mobile version has. The visual heart.

The same system could be improved to allow somewhat indications of noisy survivors to the killer.

Or they could just give people sound settings adequate enough for people to adjust things to suit their needs.

People like to say that the chase music is meant to be loud and disorienting or is supposed to obscure environmental sounds, but that isn't a statement the devs have ever made one way or the other. To drive that point home go look at other games in this genre and see that you have a plethora of setting for both audio and visual control while somehow still managing to not lose any perceived competitiveness.

Someone is literally expressing an accessibility issue that has been brought up many times by many players. Probably would be a good idea to at the very least consider that as much as those of you who don't have an issue should chill out. Even actual hardcore competitive games with legit tournament scenes even work to add general accessibility features to their games when possible.

@Emeal - I understand your concerns, but to repeat... I am not suggesting "...then everyone would remove the music and have clear hearing of the Survivor as all times."

I totally agree and could see that being abused the way you are expressing it, but that's not what I stated in my comment. I am moreso suggesting a lowering of *total* game volume during chase - so essentially it would be exactly the same volume mix, but with the ability to reduce sound output. This would maintain the integrity of the chase, or whatever seems to be a concern here, while protecting people who need accessibility options.

And thanks @ReikoMori - appreciate your words :) Having chase music can still be disorienting without causing harm to the gamer. Just needs some tweaking. Hopefully BHVR will take this into consideration with future patches!
