Killers AFKing in games back?
not saying the names of the people doing it obviously, but i find it a tad obnoxious that killers (expecially after reset when there is no "point" to AFK the entire match (when the "point" used to be to depip)) does this not fall under "not playing the game as intended"? literally loading the game with insidious and lightborn which makes it so they dont get into chase or anything so survivors cant get anything out of the match, which also does mean they queued up for the game, early in the morning when queue times are quick for both killer and survivor, i did report, but do they actually do anything?

Yes, this is reportable behavior. Not sure if a ticket is required though or an in-game report would be enough (I guess they could already determine on the BP gain that someone was afk). also there need to be multiple reports over multiple matches for them to take action on a player as this might also be done unintentionally by people readying up and actually being distracted by real-life stuff/emergency.
also the point was never only to depip, nowadays it can still be done to lower your mmr as well as gaining xp for shards/rift fragments.

First I agree that this is ridiculously annoying. I think I know the reason however. Now that MMR is in place, ranks don’t affect matchmaking. Therefore the goal isn’t to depip, it’s to reduce MMR ranking so that they get matched with easier opponents.
If I wanted to make an obnoxious guess, I’d say that they de-rank in the morning so that they can dominate while they have their stream Going in the evening.

as a streamer myself, and a long time player, it is painfully obvious when someone is newer to the game, which if viewers knew anything about the game, theyd be able to spot it in a heartbeat, and long as they dont have blinders on for the streamer, they could call em out on their BS, if that is indeed whats going on and not someone just wanting a free ride to 1m BP when they actually play with easier matches at the end of rank reset due to lower MMR
