Lockers next to vaults

With the Dredge, BHVR added a bunch of lockers to tiles and locations that didn't have these before. Most of these are fine, unobtrusive additions. But devs, I beg you:

Pleeeease don't put lockers next to vaults. With the wonky way that this game prioritises actions, it is honestly a crapshoot as to whether I vault the window or involuntarily donate a hook state to the killer via locker pull. Even just moving it to the other side of the wall would make it infinitely better.

    if your trying to vault you wanna go to the window not 3 feet to the right of it. you have to be touching the locker to be close enough to enter it. So im a bit confused as to what the problem is.

    You have to pass the locker to get the window vault prompt.

    The same issue occurs at the top of Thompson House.

    how early are you smashing vault? If your press vault key when your at the actual vault you wont go into the locker. or perhaps i just havnt ran into this situation to understand the problem

    Yea this very annoying, especially if you want to commit and pre-vault. Another one is the gen in the shack close to the window. I must have given killers a lot of laughs by tapping that gen mid-chase. 😑

    Well to spout a bit of whataboutism here, killer have to deal with some interaction overlap since day one.

    Survivor use vault or pallet brake prompts to, admittingly slightly, block pickup interactions and as i recently learned even incorporate that in things like "CJ tech" (whatever the CJ stands for, had to Google what that even is as i have only seen the term on this forum)

    Edit: Fyi i say this only for my own satisfaction and don't expect anyone to take this seriously.

    The most annoying part of that is that you will lose two health states for this mistake.

    Also, They added a few lockers near the pallets. It is almost the same story but actually even worse: sometimes survivor use pallet vacuum to fake running away of the pallet but then vacuum+stun the killer.

    In this scenario you are really dancing near the pallet

    If you want a fast vault you have to press the vault a bit away from the window otherwise you get sucked into the medium vault which can get you hit.

    Depending on how close the locker is to the window it can be a very small window to secure the fast vault or get stuck into medium vault.

    well if the new lockers hinder this i am for a locker on every pallet both sides

    Haha... good to know about this vault location. I can definitely see myself pressing space too early during chase and getting sucked into the locker. I've already done this before on Groaning Storehouse and the Game. The Game one was super painful because that chase would have gone on for a long time if I didn't make that mistake.

    The same happens on Grim Pantry. No matter how you're running towards it you'll still jump into the locker instead of vaulting the window next to it.
