Has anyone been unable to merge their accounts for no reason and found a way to fix it?
Ive been trying to merge my steam and epic games accounts for a week now. my steam account merges just fine but when i try to merge my epic games account im left with this error: "An unexpected error occured. Please try later or contact the customer support." I made a support ticket sunday the 12th and the only response i got back was on the 16th saying they are still investigating. ive tried un merging my steam account, opening and closing the game through the epic game launcher, contacting support and searching for answers online but nothing works. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unlinking your Steam account means you have to wait 60 days to be sbleczo re-link it.. hope you were aware and have read the faq?
for your epic account: are you trying to link a complete fresh account or have you already progress on there? You have to at least have started the game once to be able to link the account to a BHVR account

i un merged the steam account to see if that would allow me to then merge my epic account for some reason, im still able to merge the steam account back right away. i did not un link the account because i knew i would be locked out for the 60 days. i read the faq multiple times and went though them step by step. the issue is merging the accounts not linking them.
my epic account is the account that ive played on the whole time. the steam account was fresh as i had just downloaded the game there during the free weekend to then merge my progress and eventually play on steam only. ive started the game on both platforms. my accounts are linked but i cannot merge the epic games account still. i dont know why theres a difference between having the accounts linked and having them merged but just to clarify, the accounts are linked, i just cant merge my epic games progression. the steam account merges with no issue.

be honest.. I wasn’t aware you could link an account but independently merge/unmerge the account.
I think you will need to contact the support team for your issue as they can look into your accounts and see what’s wrong:

it sucks cause ive already contacted support and have had a ticket out for over a week now knowing nothing more than "its being looked at'. really wanted to get a bunch of dlcs while theyre on sale on steam too.. either way thanks for your time
