Should killers have a way to concede?

If you've had the misfortune as a survivor to be put into a game with a toxic killer with whom you'd rather not associate, it's pretty easy to suicide on the hook. If you've had the misfortune as a killer to be put into a game with a toxic SWF with whom you'd rather not associate, eat the matchmaking lock -OR- AFK (which is a reportable offense). I don't think that's reasonable.

Being afk in one single match isn’t bannable. Also you could just play with another mindset - eg trying to improve with the killers power, go around destroy walls/gens etc.

though I guess the ability to open a gate should be there before all gens are done. But definitely not from the very beginning (would make lowering mmr too easy)

Yes killers should have a concede/surrender option. It would need to be conditional though so its not abused. Maybe 10 minutes after the match has started? Something like that.

I think we shouldn't encourage giving up. I'm a killer main and yeah i get very often those matches that make me wanna leave immediately. But we shouldn't endorse and make it easier for players to just surrender. Instead we should punish survivors that kill themselves on hook and give them temporary bans, because they sabotage a game for 4 other ppl in the match.

They have a surrender button in smite, a 5v5 moba that has matches for around 40 minutes. Almost every match where you are not outright destroying the team 4 of your teammates will try to surrender as soon as 10min mark is reached. Surrender button sets up this - "if i dont win immediately id rather surrender and move to next match" mindset. This is a game with defeat and victory screens for a reason, let the victor enjoy their match for the entire length, even if it isn't you.

As for the 10min timer that would practically make surrenderring not an option. Anytime i want to leave a match is because the first 3 gens fly within first 2 minutes of the match. 10 minute matches are actually a pretty long time for dbd, usually matches end before they reach that mark. If there was a surrender button it should instead be tied up to gens completed, not time

If that were the case then you would run into a number of other problems. Tome challenges, daily rituals and achievements would be harder to do if killers could just surrender after a certain number of gens were done. If 3 gens got done early and the killer could surrender then you'd see a lot of <3 minute matches of this happening. If 10 minutes were required to surrender then in a situation where gens were done early would probably end in all gens getting done anyway and the match could end normally.

I'd like a way to cancel the match and give everyone back their offerings when some jerk 3-man SWF leaves the solo survivor to die on their first hook. (Sorry, had some bad matches playing killer tonight. I wish 3-man SWF groups got a bot instead of some poor random solo survivor as their 4th.)

Conceding would be nice for matches where 20 minutes later I'm still stuck there because the survivors aren't really working on gens.
