Dredge's Nightfall Sounds
Give us an option to change the music that we hear when facing the Dredge during his Nightfall mechanic. The dull constant screaming is a mental health trigger. If I DC I get penalized. So this needs to be altered ASAP. I've spoke to plenty of people who find this triggering. This is torture and borderline causing physical pain. You wanted to cater to people triggered over Bubba's cosmetic masks that have been in the game for years, but have ignored people complaining about this since the Dredge's PTB.
I've never had any issues since 2016 like this, and no other game I've played gives me these issues. Not even Home Sweet Home or The Mortuary Assistant. I have to either play with my headset off when vs Dredge or just tab out and do something else since i'll get penalized for DCing. That's not right at all.

agreed. I played against home ONCE and about 3 seconds into the nightfall mechanic, i just about had a full blown sensory overload panic attack. My roomate who was watching me play looked incredibly puzzeled as to why i dropped the controller and walked away for a few once it started,
PLEASE BHVR, make it so we can at least LESSEN the volume of nightfall. The visual and audio effects mixed together is REALLY rough on my non-neurotypical brain

Please, I had a panic attack 1 day in of the full release (on console) and my and I now just talk over the nightfall that way we block out the noises for me
is there any chance this may be addressed for people with sensory issues, any solution really, this is an issue for some people who have sensory issues. I figured I asked because I know they're working on macro-flashlights and whatnot for epileptic players, but what about those with sensory issues such as this.@Madjura

I have PTSD and the screaming doesn't trigger me

For me this isn't a PTSD issue. This is a sensory issue, one i've never experienced before in the 30 years i've been gaming. Who knows. Maybe it is a side effect of the PTSD i've suffered.
You know how people get agitated with people clicking a pen over and over? This is like, that x1,000,000. But, like PTSD, we cannot control how we react to the noise.

I literally couldn't play the PTB after one game lol...
I don't think this is asking too much either. Just a change in the options would suffice, similar to color blind players.

Could the humming and whatnot stay while the rest is toggled off? I mean... I'm not affected by this but it's annoying after 200 games of this.

That's the scariest part about the Dredge.

This isnt a discussion about what is or isn't scary since that is subjective. This is about an unintentional side-effect of this noise. If it was just an annoyance, it'd be fine. But people are having adverse MENTAL reactions because of it, which is the main reason for wanting the change. Which is why i'm asking for it to be a toggle in the options. Being scared =/= being physically unable to play.
Nothing in this game beyond 10 hours for me, is scary. At all. I'm not scared of the dark. Jump scares don't make me jump. Like, I have a real life fear of clowns(visual), but Clown doesn't bother me. Nightfall isn't inducing fear for me, its causing a major anxiety issue. Being chased doesn't induce this anxiety. This is strictly isolated by the sound. This is called Misophonia and its a real problem.

The whole schtick of Dredge is fine. I just want an option to toggle to a different "music" during his Nightfall for players who have these issues. Like how they implemented color blindness settings.

Don't come into this thread and insult people who have a mental illness they can't control. Seriously. Making fun of people who have an actual disability just makes you look like a chump man.
Nothing about this game is gorey. Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 have more "gore" than DBD has(its like that to keep the game from being banned in several countries, like Russia and China)
